The Coach Lamp is our favorite restaurant. The staff and the service are "Top Shelf". We like pretty much everything on the menu but one of my favorites is the prime rib, ask for the horseradish sauce to go with it. Bananas foster, yum. They also have an awesome selection of bourbons and beers. The atmosphere is great and everyone... More

The best part of our meal was the house salad. I asked for bread and received a basket of biscuits that looked like they came from a package of frozen biscuits baked in their oven. The pasta dish that was advertised with seafood came with about 4 shrimp, one piece of "lobster" claw, lots of flavorless pasta, and a few... More

Huge portions. Haven't had a bad meal and thoroughly enjoy the rapport of the owner and staff. I'm not a bourbon drinker but they have a large selection and the patio is huge!

This was previously was our favorite places to eat after seeing a play. They had a great chef that came from New Orleans with Katrina. It had great gumbo, jambalaya, étouffée. The artichoke fritters were to die for, as was some kind of crab meat and eggplant pagoda. Well all that is gone. The new menu is full of 20... More

Coach Lamp ruined my first Valentine's Day with my wife. They couldn't get more things wrong. Little things from having no music playing, big things like having a waitress they said has never served before and was given no training, and serving a steak that the kitchen manager said he knew was "bad". The waitress knew nothing of the menu... More

My girlfriend and I went to the Coach Lamp Restaurant for dinner before going to the Harlem Dancer's Ballet on Saturday Oct.10,2012. It was about 6:00 p.m. The special for the Evening was stuffed Flounder. The flounder was stuffed with crabmeat and then seared or baked in a hot oven. The appearance looked as if it was in a puff... I'm a Louisvillian and this was a great little find. The portions are large and quite tasty. Loved the Catfish!

I am a Louisville native but had never tried this much talked about restaurant. I was greatly surprised at how delicious the food was and would highly recommend a visit here. It has much character, is unique, and the service is excellent. I had the special which was pork in a bourbon/apricot glaze. I am rarely a pork eater but... More

Had dinner, heard great things. The service was rushed, cold and seemed like he could care. The scampi was the worst ever had, the sauce was nothing but lemon and oil, no garlic no sauce. The Veal was flavorless and tasted like the same sauce that was in the scampi. Their version of hot brown made with crab had decent... More
