Go here for a superior brunch experience

I have stopped by for brunch several times. The brunch isn't equivalent to a Ritz brunch, but it is certainly in the neighborhood. It should be noted that it is NOT priced like a Ritz brunch. In fact, for what you get, I think it is very reasonably priced. Bottom line? Bruch will prove to be... read more

Overpriced. Make sure not to wear any open toed shoes, or you will be told to go change. We did, but should not have wasted our time. It was very noisy from a adjoining stairwell, and vulgarity was being spewed up and down the entire dinner.

My wife Robbin and myself went to the English Grill for the 4th time and everything is always 1st class. We have had the Duck, Filet and fish dishes but went back to The Hot Brown, Just like the first time I had it 25 years ago. Delicious. Turkey meat that is from an actual turkey and not some turkey... The restaurant matches the hotel. Very much US cuisine. Duck, Bison, steak. The duck was wonderful as was the Caesar salad. Service good. Nice wine list but expect to pay $100 up for a bottle of red

My wife and I went to Louisville for our anniversary and while there we decided to have dinner at the English Grill at the Brown Hotel. Aside from the original Hot Brown, which was amazing and available as an appetizer size portion, the rest of the food and the service was excellent. The atmosphere was reminiscent of a bygone area... Overpriced. Great burger, not impressed with the hot brown. Derby pie was amazing but took a really long time to come out.

Beautiful restaurant and the food was excellent as was the service. Had the stuffed Branzini with White Asparagus and a truffled risotto. Followed by a strawberry basil ice cream. Both were surprisingly perfect. Waiter was attentive, timely and professional. Would have given this restaurant 5 starts if the receptionist hadn't told me to come back in 20 minutes to give... We stayed at the Brown Hotel and were quite pleased with this restaurant. It is a turn back in time from a decor and ambience standpoint as is the hotel. Service was impeccable. When you go there, get the Hot Brown...amazingly delicious...but get one and share it as it is a lot of food. Very good, reasonably priced wine list.

We stayed at the Brown and had dinner here the first night. We had the Escargot app, the Hot Brown and lamb chops. The service was great and so was the food! Fresh roses in the tables and nice ambience. Not as expensive as we expected. My husband enjoyed the bourbon flight, as well.
