YUMMY - stopped here on the way to Cincinnati, Ohio and it was well worth the effort. Monday is free dessert day with selected entrees, so keep that in mind - the buttermilk sundae is crazy good. I was with a group of five people and all of us loved this place. Combo plates of BBQ pork, beef, and chicken... More

We had a few days in Louisville, Kentucky and didn't want to eat at chain restaurants. Mark's Feed Store was an exceptional value and delivered great food. The honey wings, fried pickles, corn muffins, and brisket were excellent, staff friendly and helpful, and the location ideal. Just wish the portions had been a bit larger - but the price was... More

We are regulars on Monday nights because it is free dessert night. Always easy parking. It is bigger than the Shelbyville Rd location, and rarely do we have to wait. Food is great, usually get the lite meal chicken and you can substitute your sides so I get the sweet potato fries. Reasonable prices and great service.

Being from Texas, I have some strong opinions about barbecue. But I have to say that we had some of the best ribs ever at Mark's. We stopped in for lunch and we both had the baby back ribs that were tender and delicious. The potato salad was wonderful, and my wife tried the sweet fried corn on the cob,... More

Usually I am a meat eater, and the bbq here was quite good. But I have to save my applause for the sides. Very fresh ingredients and freshly made coleslaw, beans, fries, etc. I couldn't eat it all. As for desserts, I tried Buttermilk Pie for the first time...it wasn't my cup of tea, so I don't feel that I... More

This is a Louisville food landmark. First thing you need a drink. It's always either a sweet tea or a "frosty mug" root beer. Fried Pickles and Honeywings are must tries. All of the meats are very good, but the baby back ribs definitely stand out as the best entree. The sides are can't miss if enjoy such fine things.... More

If you're looking for a reasonable meal that tastes great, it's mark's. The best on the menu is anything barbecue. You pick it and you'll live it. Surprisingly the salmon burger is one of my favorites here. Always get the pasta for the side dish. Beats fries anytime.

On our last two trips to Louisville, we made our way out to Marks' for some excellent barbeque. Nice clean and airy space upstairs and down. Great menu options. Afterwards, take a walk thru the neighborhood. Oh, and, don't forget to buy some sauces to bring home with you!

We love bbq and know that it's different all over the USA, from tomato-based to vinegar-based. Mark's had a perfect honey-based sauce, outstanding wings and delicious ribs. We loved that everything was served in a cake pan. Cute touch. The service was a little slow, but the place was full and the food was worth the wait.
