Cute local in a pretty neighborhood. The menu had a chain feel. Our BBQ pork sandwich was delicious. Seasoned fries were good and typical. Kids menus were small but good. Overall, good. Not drive out of your way must visit.

I love this place. The BBQ pork is perfection. They don't drown it in sauce. They still have those sinful onion straws. The Cole slaw is wonderful as a side or on the sandwich itself. They serve enormous soft drinks, and bring refills, too. Portions are generous. They have kept all the things that madd them aocal favorite. Burgoo is... More

My son and I went in for a spontaneous dinner since my wife was out of town. My son ordered ribs and I ordered brisket. The ribs were average at best and the brisket seemed like it was smoked in a commissary kitchen and then sent to the restaurant. The sides were average at best really lacking flavor and freshness.... Having come from Texas, it is hard to beat the Austin area for great BBQ, this restaurant did not come anywhere near the finish line. While it is ranked as very good, I found the brisket too dry and the BBQ sauces they offer non-descriptive. I did try their honey BBQ wings which were very moist and the fried corn... More

I have joined associates at Marks for BBQ and also have had the fried fish. The fish is outstanding with probably the best batter I have eaten on fish anywhere. We enjoy the BBQ also. Marks is a great place to eat. Plenty of room, great service, and the food is excellent. Don't go near there without stopping. In fact,... More

I don't think Louisville has great barbecue compared to other places in the South. Mark's is consistently good but nothing special. I often pick up chicken for a potluck and eat there on occasion. It is just nothing exciting. I do think they have great potato salad. They have several sauces to choose from so you can control how much... More

Great menu, great people and the food is the real thing. I ordered the Combo plate with brisket, pork, baby back ribs, honey wings with cole slaw and baked beans. I always judge a BBQ joint by the slaw and beans and you will not be disappointed. On top of a great meal, they gave me a free dessert and... More

They feed you well. The ribs and pulled pork are the Best and the Mac & Cheese is worth every carb! The buttermilk crunch desert is worth cheating on any diet! You can go lite but I would recommend allowing yourself to enjoy all the options that Mark's serves.our server Amanda was the Best and made sure our party of... More

This restaurant was recommended to me by a co worker who used to live in Louisville. I tried the slider lunch sampler with the three meats and to me the brisket was by far the best. I knocked off a star because to me the pork was just so so. I only tried the original sauce and it was yummy.... More
