On our way to dinner somewhere else, we spotted Mark's and decided on a whim to have some Bar-B-Q. It turns out that we made an excellent decision. We had no idea that Mark's was one of the top Bar-B-Q restaurants in Louisville. We were visiting Louisville for a short vacation, so we knew nothing about the eateries. My husband... More

Four of us went here for dinner on a Friday night. The place was busy but we did not have to wait for a seat (that might have been due to the people going to Thunder Over Louisville). The server was friendly and the meal arrived quickly so this part of the process went well. We tried the ribs, pulled... More

Mark's is a great place to go for a casual lunch. Lots of local color from hipsters to hard working folks to white collar types. I had the pork bar-b-q sandwich with cole slaw and sweet potato fries. Bar-b-q was excellent - comes with a light amount of original sauce but there's 2 other types available at the table. I... More

everything about this place is common and average from the menu to the service and prices. Not bad but nothing to write home about.

Having visited Louisville many times, was looking for a different place to try. This place was recommended by a local and we were glad we went. Good food, great atmosphere, excellent service. Can't miss with this place, had combo #1. Brisket had good flavor, ribs were perfectly cooked. Loved the red potato salad, fried corn on the cob is different... More

simple, well priced, typically great service. This is a simple family restaurant with simple food and puts on no airs. As one would expect, all the barbecue is excellent. The barbecue bacon cheeseburger drips some grease on your plate, but it is far better than most burgers costing twice as much. Not a health-food Mecca, but at the top of... More

We ate their while visiting the zoo. Had a twenty minute wait but the food is to die for! So good the only thing that sucked was our appetizer order never got placed but the waiter more then made it up to us, only give four stars because of the long wait and the mix up but the food deserves... Visited with boys 10 and 14. We ordered corn muffins as an appetizer and they were great. We ordered the #1 combo meal and one sandwich platter to split between the three of us and it was plenty of food. Great choice of sides – loved the baked apples. My son really like the brisket. Because it was our first... More

Hands down, some of the best ribs I have ever eaten. Meaty, sweet, and delicious. Reasonably priced and great southern food. Worth the drive and the wait (Though I never have waited, I have seen lines when I have left) And yes I lick my fingers!
