We love bbq and know that it's different all over the USA, from tomato-based to vinegar-based. Mark's had a perfect honey-based sauce, outstanding wings and delicious ribs. We loved that everything was served in a cake pan. Cute touch. The service was a little slow, but the place was full and the food was worth the wait.

There are a few Mark's stores near Louisville. I had a brisker dinner with mac n cheese and fries. Everything they brought was good, even the unsweetened tea. I love their fried pickles!

I have been eating at Marks for 16 years. The food is always delicious and consistent! From the onion straws and chicken wing appetizers to the Buttermilk crunch everything is tasty and the portions are plentiful. The ribs are fall off the bone and the sauce they are prepared in is wonderful, a little sweet and glazes up just right. Great area of town, with lots of bars and restaurants around. Found some good reviews on Yelp and thought I'd try it out. I got the pulled pork sandwich, they do serve it dry with 3 different sauces available. I tried two of them, which were delicious. Service was a little slow considering there weren't very many people there and... More

This was the first stop on our BBQ road trip through the Southeastern US. We arrived in the mid-afternoon on a Sunday and did not deal with either the lunch or dinner rush. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The best dishes (with our rating on a 10 point scale) were: - Fried Pickles (9): Delicious. Very good flavor and... More

Arguably the best ribs I have ever enjoyed. Melt-in-your-mouth, fall-off-the-bone ambrosia!! Baby back ribs the way God intended them!

On my winter visits to Louisville, I rarely get to eat BBQ due to the preferences of my friends with whom I have dinner while at the Show of Shows militaria convention. However, while there this June, I decide to take in some of the BBQ restaurants with my roommate. The first place we visited was this 2014 award winner,... More

For me, BBQ in Louisville means a trip to one of the locally owned Mark's Feed Stores. I usually get the pork dinner with my 2 side favorites being either green beans, pork'n beans or cole slaw. My drink choice is always their freshly brewed tea. Save room for dessert - they are all freshly made - with homemade buttermilk... More

Everything that we ordered here was delicious. We definitely left with full bellies. The corn bread and burgoo were my favorites but we also had ribs, brisket and potato salad which were all great. The only thing that might suck is parking. It's on a busy corner so we had to park a couple of blocks down. It was a... More
