Glad we tried it

My wife and I dined here recently as part of "502 Restaurant Week". Winston's had long been on my list of places I wanted to try and we just never made it for some reason. We enjoyed our meal. I had the "Not Brown". I have to admit that the individual components were all very good, but the... read more

Our daughter was visiting so we wanted to go to a nice place for dinner. My wife and I had been to Winston's several years ago and the food and service was outstanding so we had no concerns about this being a great experience. We were very wrong. The food was only OK and the service was disorganized and uncertain.... More

I ordered grilled chicken sandwich, but the food was cold, and untasty (may be stale or something). It was the worst grilled chicken I have ever had.

We have been to dinner here countless times but today did the Sunday brunch. Absolutely great, I got the apples on french toast, my wife some eggy thing. The bloody mary bar was too much fun. The service is something to behold, as soon as you hit the door until you've tried the chocolate/orange cake, wow, how long can they... More

Went for lunch to check out the culinary skills of students. The restaurant is a fine dining experience handled by students. They did a great job of making us feel welcomed, helping us to select our entrée and serving us. I had the Not Brown (seafood) and it was great along with a glass of wine; husband had a Salad... My spouse hated the uppity service and the spouse didn't like the food so much either. Unable to use a promotional they had sold so although I had formerly liked the food, and that it is part of a culinary school, I didn't care for the customer service.

Our 'Ladies Who Lunch' visited Winston's at the end of May for our monthly treat and we were not disappointed. The lunch menu offered what seemed to be an endless selection making it that much more difficult to choose. We finally decided on a Cuban Smashed Sandwich, Smoked Salmon and Egg Salad Bagel, and Beef Short Rib Manhattan. A generous... More

We immediately realized this was a Culinary School and we had gotten a certificate through a Silent Auction. We didn't even know this was here, and wouldn't have know this otherwise. I had called and spoken with Mary (the manager) on the phone, she was delightful and we were looking forward to visiting Winston's. We had the most amazing time!... More

Winston's is associated with the cullinary school at Sullivan University - so you expect interesting food, perfectly prepared, and beautifully presented. And you'd be absolutely right! Our recent meal was delicious and an eclectic mix of cuisines. The restaurant is stylish and delightfully quiet, and staff members are warm and welcoming. Service was excellent. Do not forget to leave room... More

Great food and service at a moderate price. Sullivan University operates one of the best culinary schools in the country. The kitchen is staffed by their top students under the tight supervision of master chef instructors as is the wait staff. Only open Friday and Saturday evenings and for Sunday brunch.
