Unique Mexican experience unlike any other, Mayan Foods

"An indigenously inspired farm-to-table restaraunt". The salmon was incredible and definitely don't miss the Lima beans! The Salbutes were also yummy. We had a variety: cactus, rabbit and roasted pork. The roasted pork were my favorite. Definitely don't miss. I only rated it a 4 because the service was "odd"....made me think of European style service, a bit standoffish.

A Mayan themed cafe in Louisville. Who knew? I know it sounds like it shouldn't work but it does! The chef is Mayan so you will find things on the menu that you won't see anywhere else the Midwest. Service was great. Atmosphere Bohemian. Prices good. Best experience in L'ville.

My wife, daughter and myself stopped in for lunch a few weeks ago and it was absolutely spectacular. The restaurant is cozy, comfortable, intimate and relaxing. The staff were great and our service was outstanding. The lunch menu is not overly extensive, but every item is pure heaven. There are so many great places to eat in Louisville but the... More

Friends went for a weekend to dine and experience the bourbon trail. Our first stop was the Mayan Cafe. Menu is unique, food was terrific and service was wonderful!

This place was recommended by several sources so we tried it out. Best decision of our trip. The chef is Salvadoran and started out as a food truck owner. The menu is amazing. I had the chocolate mole fried chicken with plantains. My buddies had the Mahi Mahi Tikin-Xic and raved. We had arrived late in the evening and never... More

Picked this place to eat since so unusual. The friend I was with enjoys those little adventures. As a semi-picky eater, I was not a fan of my food but she loved it. The flavor choices were different and various.

Good value organic locally sourced food. Great service, very reasonable prices in Louisville's trendy arts district. Great chick and lima beans with fried kale. Yum Highly recommended!!! The organic iced tea is awesome!

I saw that this is the #1 rated restaurant in Louisville, so I had to try it . Lima beans have a unique flavor, but are good . The vegetarian burrito was delicious, the egg on top, I had fried was slightly overcooked, rest of the flavors mesmerized the palate. End all were the churros airy, lite, delicious, with a different take... More
