Quiet, great Italian food!

This restaurant was a very quiet but had great food. Its a little bit dark inside. It was cool to hear the history of the building and how the whole building was picked up, moved and turned. I had a small bowl of pasta with marinara sauce. The sauce was very good and tasted homemade. Then I had... read more

The Come Back Inn is definitely a dive! Have dined here many times over the years and have always liked it. The food is nothing spectacular, but I enjoy the atmosphere and the friendly, laidback service. I recommend the Italian Beef sandwich. The pastas are good as well.

Came here after hearing rave reviews from a co-worker and was so glad I came here! The restaurant is small but cozy and has a great atmosphere. Service was friendly and efficient. All the food we got at our table was outstanding! We had a Greek pasta, gorgonzola pasta, and the spinach pizza and it was all delicious. Highly recommended!

I have grown up with my mothers Italian food all my life and this by far comes the closes to my moms cooking I have ever had. I come to Louisville annually and there will never be a year I don't come to eat here. This is no commercial chain and is run by a mother, daughters and lifelong friends.... More

Linguini and meatballs are excellent and the meatballs are huge. Price was very reasonable. Service was very good also. I loved it. Should you be in the neighborhood, and you're hungry, this is the place to eat.

I have tried Chicago Italian beef in other Louisville eateries but none can compare with Comeback Inn, authentic Chicago style Italian beef, got to get it with provolone and giardiniera. And if you want something off the wall, try the Italian Hot Brown, OK, Louisvillians, it is not really a Hot Brown, but it does have turkey, tomatoes, pancetta instead... More

The Come Back Inn is a crowded, noisy local spot. That being said, I absolutely LOVE their food and their attitude. I always have the Italian wontons, but the pizza and sandwiches are also outstanding! Best sauce I've had in a while, and they sell it by the bottle to take home. Just don't go if you want to have... Let me preface this review by saying this is an old Neighbood bar that serves food. The interior needs serious attention and there are holes in the ceiling and the carpeting is old and there is still 1970's panelling on the walls. basically, it is a dump. However, the owner is behind the bar, friendly and on the ball. Service... More

We stopped in for drinks and stayed for dinner. We'd planned to go to a different resturant down the street and stopped in for a drink while we waited for our table. After looking at the menu and taking in the aromas, we changed our plans and stayed. Great pasta dishes all around and really yummy salads. The staff could... More

My wife and I were looking for a quick and cheap meal last Saturday and we ended up at Come Back Inn. We split the Procuitto Mozzerella Won Tons to start. The WonTons are terrific , but it's the Marinara Sauce that make this ap a real winner. My wife had the Linguini and Marinara entree and she loved it!... More
