A perfect quiet evening

Our dinner at the Oak room was an anniversary treat. I wanted to go there because it was close to our hotel and a 5 star restaurant. We figured something was wrong when we were able to get a last minute reservation. We were there on a Saturday night and only four other tables were being used. We were expecting southern... More

We thoroughly enjoyed their wonderful Sunday Brunch. There was an excellent variety of items, and everything was exquisitely prepared. It was an expensive indulgence, and we enjoyed every minute of it!

This is a great bar. The wine selection is superb, in addition to the many excellent cocktails on the menu. It's not a cheap bar, so if drinking cheap beer is your intention, I would try somewhere else. But you would be remiss to not stop here and have a few drinks.

Nice to have a drink with a crowd or a night cap before going up to your room. Great atmosphere! The bar was pretty crowded but my sister and I were able to find a quiet corner to sip tequila on her birthday after a long day.

The staff was attentive and accommodating even for the vegan in our party We enjoyed the private dining room off of the main area call the Al... More

The night we stayed in te Seelbach the Oak Room had a Mad Men Farewell theme night. About 30 participants attended. Some dressed in Mad Men attire. The chef and mixologist prepared a menu reminiscent of tte 60's including theme cocktails and dishes. Crab Louis, Chicken Kiev, Fondue, Beef Wellington and a great selection of Hors D'oeuvrers were prepared. Each... More

Reservation at 9pm on Open Table and only 4 tables used, so quiet you could hear a pin drop, or another table burping 200 feet way. Food was spot on great and the bartender made the best martini for wife and manhatten for me. Great wine selections and each course was fantastic. Had fish and wife had steak. Kinda reminded... We had dinner with another couple during Derby week at the Oakroom. Beautiful, old world setting with lots of dark wood and beautiful detail. Our waiter, Jamal, was just the best from giving us some history of the building and room to derby horse tips to menu item descriptions to service; all of it was outstanding. The menu was a... More
