Unique!

My husband and I dined here for dinner. The restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere and the wait staff are attentive. This is fine dining! Loved the food. Staff are always so great in the Oak Room. I cannot say enough about how delicious all the food is at Sunday Brunch. I am never ever disappointed. Troy does a great job and I always look forward to having him serve when I bring guests. My guests always love the brunch.

The food hit the mark on all levels. The service was disorganized, coordinating/chatting in front of diners, serving items not ordered, unable to describe the entrees, serving meals one at a time, requiring multiple requests for drinks. Not up to its five star rating on service. Quality of the food was outstanding- making up for the poor service.

The Oakroom in the beautiful Seelbach Hilton is a step back to a time when dining included real cloth napkins, real tablecloths, attentive waiters, beautifully presented food, and nicely dressed patrons. A visit to Louisville for us always includes a visit to The Oakroom because it is a dining experience that is seldom available. Their Sunday Brunch is especially lovely.

My wife and I ate here for the Sunday buffet, $34 each, which is a bit pricey but mostly worth it. Because we had a 2-for-1 city saver coupon it was a good value. The place is upscale and old-world with wood paneled walls, white table cloths & napkins. The service was extremely attentive throughout including promptly bringing us the... More

I went to The Oakroom with two friends after a conference. Without a doubt, it was one of the best meals I have ever had. From the moment we sat down, the wait staff was attentive, polite, accommodating, and welcoming. From the explanation of the dinner menu to a complete description of each course, nothing was left out. The food... More

Nice cozy bar but loud with small tv screens. Nice beer but hard to get service when busy. Needs better acoustics.

The door to where Capone played Poker was in the same room. Just off the Oakroom the first elevator holds a story about a young woman who died in the 20's while waiting for her lover and the rumer is she still haunts the hotel in her blue dress.

Was really looking forward to a great tasting but it fell a little short. The atmosphere was great and what you would expect, The service was good. We had the 3 course tasting with wine pairing and while the first and second courses were good the final course and the pairings for two courses really left us flat. Good meal... More

What a lovely room, very attentive staff and absolutely wonderful food. We had a 3 course menu and each course as well as the little extras was beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. A very elegant, fun night.
