The signs are down, the chairs are on the tables, and the phone number is disconnected ... so one would assume the closure is permanent.

Got a groupon an gave it a try. $10.00 for $20.00 worth of food made it a huge value. They were out of oysters this was a dissapointment. Shrimp instead. Shrimp tasted fresh and it was fresh according to our attentive server. Also at the table: slaw, potato wedges, fried cauliflower and a Boston scrod on rye. All hot and... More

We were visiting Louisville and bought a Groupon to the Fish Fry House. The ordering set up is different, but our food arrived smoking hot and was delicious . There was nothing that we didn't like, but we all would have probably just ordered the fried shrimp if we had known how delicious it was going to be. It was... More

Had a Groupon so we wanted to try this place out. The wife and I love checking out new eating places so we came and got horrible service. The individual that took our order at counter was very friendly (for now) and said to take a seat and food would be out soon. There were maybe 4 other tables with... More

My wife and I went to The Fish Fry House on a Sunday afternoon. There were a few customers, but we basically had the place to ourselves. The owner came and talked to us for a while about the history of the building which was very interesting. We both had the fish with 2 sides and it was excellent. The... More

We visited on a Thursday evening around 6. There was a steady flow of patrons during our visit. I had fried scrod, slaw and onion rings, accompanied by cumberland red ale. The rings were crunchy and the slaw was light with a bright taste. The fish was flakey and nicely done. My wife had a platter of fish and shrimp... More

A little pricey for what you get, in my humble opinion, but still very good food. I got the baked scrod, which was very tasty, and the sides were great too. Even the fried fish, which my husband had, is crunchy and not at all greasy or heavy. And the atmosphere is great as well. Two thumbs up!

We bought a Groupon, and used it on out first visit. It happened to be our 41st. Wedding anniversary. The sevice was swift. The music was delightful, and made you feel like slow dancing in the aisles. It was old school jazz/pop. We ordered oysters, scrod, and onion rings. The salad was on a dinner sized plate and was fresh... More

We arrived at about 6:30 for what we thought would be a nice relaxing evening. We walked into total chaos and we should have been smart enough to walk out. There is no organization to this place. The way it is setup, you order your food at the counter, pay for it and then you have to seat yourself .... More

I wanted to try Blue Lagoon and we ran into this place. The restaurant was having a grand opening. The set up is different. You order at the bar then sit wherever you like. I ordered fried scod and it was great. I liked the difference in the atmosphere.
