My team arrived in Louisville and wanted some down home BBQ. We followed our gps to this spot. We were in a little neighborhood where you never would have expected to find a restaurant at all! We walk in and it smells smokey and delicious. We shared lots of things, but crowd favorites were the fried macaroni and cheese balls,... More

I was warned when this place was recommended that it was not anything fancy. It was in the basement of a house, I had to duck walking through the restaurant because of low beams. It is a very small place, I'm sure you often have to wait. They have televisions which is great for watching ballgames. The mac and cheese... More

We went on a Friday evening around 6:00. Arrive early or you will have to wait. Small restaurant with seating at the bar also. As another review stated, do not let the looks fool you. If it gets too busy, you may have to wait outside. We decided on a burger since that is what was recommended by a friend.... More

Went here in November 2014 with some friends. This place is in the middle of what appears to be a residential neighborhood and, quite frankly, is a dumpy-looking bar. That being said, it was the perfect place to hang out and grab some beers and pub type food. As far as the beer goes, they have a really good selection... More

Found this place on a weekend trip to Louisville. The location and setting reminded me of some of the hidden foodie gems we have in Cincinnati and it lived up to comparison! Wait was about an hour for 2 on a Saturday at 615. Food was delicious and very large portions. The elk burger and truffle fries were both top... More

I love the venison burger as well as the grippo fries. It's definitely a "hole in the wall" and always packed, but worth the wait. Prices are also very reasonable. They don't serve any other alcohol besides beer, though, but they have a wide selection of brews.

I love this place. Hidden in a Germantown neighborhood, the beer list is long and the food is a taste of comfort food the a flare of upscale cuisine. Nothing is off limits.

And that's a good thing. Very long wait- but you can grab a drink at the bar and wait outside. Would not be good for a big group, but excellent for a small group. Burgers are great- try the truffle fries!

We live in Louisville and try to do one new restaurant a month, usually 2, and one of them was Hammerheads. We had heard great things and they did not disappoint. I believe we actually went during the week so it was slower but we still had a small 15 minute wait. I imagine on the weekends it can be... More
