We have only gotten carry out but in my opinion, it's the best pizza in Louisville. Not sure what they do to that crust but it's addicting!

My wife and I met another couple here for dinner and we are very glad we did. We were promptly greeted and told that there was about a 20 minute wait to be seated but after a 10 minute wait at the bar we were seated. We shared a pizza called the "Seneca" which included artichokes, mushrooms, tomatoes and cheese... More

We have been to Coal's several times and never had a problem. Tonight we went to celebrate my son's 16th birthday. This was where he wanted to go. I can't rate the pizza tonight because we never got waited on! We waited a more than reasonable amount of time before leaving and going somewhere else. Very disappointed!

My wife and I were visiting Louisville from out of town and staying nearby and discovered this gem. We were seat right away on Thursday night at 7:00. The service was wonderful and friendly although our server had forgotten to bring us our check and didn't check back for a while. The pizza was a thin crust cooked to perfection.

This was my second visit to Coal's and what brought me in this time was pure convenience. Although I really enjoyed my visit last time, I stayed safe and just had a simple pizza. This time I had the Crescent Hill which is their version of a Hawaiian pizza. I opted for the Trfiecta BBQ and Jalapenos as the menu... More

A friend of mind recommended Coal's Artisan Pizza, and my wife and I went there on New Year's Day because we'd never been there before. We're hooked! The service was impeccable, the music playing in the background was fantastic, and the pizza was the best we'd had since we were in Barcelona! Coals has that upscale vibe and a cozy neighborhood feel that are great complements to a good meal. Be sure to try the appetizer meatball dish - especially great as it comes out steaming on a cool fall, winter or early spring day - we like it best with the white sauce but the marinara is good too - be... The crust here is my favorite in Louisville -- light, flaky, and delicious. Their lunch special -- a pizza and salad for $10 -- can't be beat!
