Located in a easy-to-get-to downtown area, this restaurant is one that I highly recommend. First, it is not inexpensive. But, with that said, you get what you pay for and then some. Service staff was exceptional. Our server's name was Michael, he was fantastic. He encouraged us to mix and match certain menu items, surf with turf or even entrees... More

I was in Louisville this past week....in the middle of the snow storm, but I was able to have a meal at Eddie Merlot's. I was staying at The Seelbach Hotel & the restaurant is just across the street. I had been planning this meal.......as I wasn't not hungry for a steak so I thought something lighter would be more... More

I am frequently in and out of Louisville, KY and one of the highlights of these trips is a dinner at Eddie Merlot's. Historically, I have never been disappointed. However, on this recent trip it would appear that Merlot's did not live up to my expectations. They had our reservation and we were provided a good table with minimal wait.... More

We arrived here about 7pm as this is when we had made our reservation. Whoops---upon checking in we were told they had no record of our reservation. We were later informed that somehow our reservation had been cancelled; but no reason was ever given. The staff did scramble to set us up (about 45 minutes later) in the bar area.... More

Had an average experience for a steakhouse of this level. The food was good. The service was good- better than the food. The entertainment in the bar where we sat- terrible. A guy and a guitar and he butchered all the songs he sang. We liked the tuna appetizer - it was different but good. I had scallops and they... More

From the beginning, it was a disaster. We have never been to Eddie Merlot's so upon arriving, I went to the valet podium to inquire about valet and was completely ignored while others who came up after me were waited on. As I was still waiting and freezing, since it was only 18° outside, one of the valet men went... More

This isn't everyone's cup of tea. But if you're looking for a classic, white tablecloth steak house in Louisville, this should be on your list. But be prepared to pay for the privilege. I was there for a business / social meal, mid-week, and from start to finish the service and the food was superb. Our waiter was friendly and... More

The difficulty of being a very expensive restaurant is that expectations are rightfully very high. You can't just be good; you have to be great to live up to the price point. Unfortunately, Eddie Merlot wasn't able to hit the mark. I will begin by saying we were a very large group - 12 people. The first issue when we... More

My son and I took my husband for his birthday and it was AMAZING! The food was incredible, all the steaks were perfect, brussel sprouts awesome, wine excellent and that doesn't cover dessert; our server IAN, whom was on point and incredible, and the ambience was perfect. We will be back!
