Great little diner in a not so great part of town. Had the best BBQ dinner! Owner was great. Came around and sat with us for a few minutes to see how everything was, where we were from, etc. and told us about how he and his wife started the business. Funky decor. The food was down home BBQ along... More

After reading good reviews of Smoketown, the wife and I had to try it. After all we are good BBQ addicts. Being from VA and NC we love the downeast stuff but have grown to appreciate fine Louisville BBQ too (FABD's, Hammerheads). Sadly Smoketown isn't either one. The meat was essentially flavorless on it's own (ironically no "smoke" at all)... More

Ribs are great. Sides are awful. Friendly wait staff. Strange atmosphere. Should have turned around when we got to the restaurant

My wife and I stopped here for dinner recently. First, I have to say the service was as friendly as we've ever received anywhere. They also did a really good job on the refurb of the old building. The exposed brick and black ceiling work really well. We each had the "Three Amigos", basically 3 sliders, one each of chicken,... More

On a trip to Louisville we wanted some good BBQ. I ran across reviews on this place and I'm glad I did. My husband said his ribs were the best he's eaten. I would have to agree. They we perfectly cooked with a sweetness. You also get huge portions.

Eat here this week with several guys from work. The rib basket was the way to go. Not much talking going on once the food arrived. Ribs were juicy and very tasty. Appeared there was a rub and sauce. The soul greens were great. Not a chain restaurant. The owner even came over go chat with us. Would go here... More

This was our second last stop on The Great North to South BBQ adventure. After consuming more ribs than any two people should consume over an 11 day period, these were far and away the best we had. I'd give it a 5, but I'm holding out for the ultimate Rib; as time passes this rating may go up. I... More

The food was excellent as was the service and the ambiance. The owner made it a point to stop and talk with everyone that came in & was very helpful with tips on local attractions. The brisket, ribs, & chicken were all top notch. Will be a definite stop our next time through! Oh and the coffee was even top... More

Great BQ in a somewhat shady part of downtown Louisville. Obvious regulars present during our visit as owner knew them by name. Beer selection is minimal, seating area limited. One visit included an acoustic guitar player, second visit without.
