My wife and I have started eating here about once a week. The food is really good and they have a good selection (anything from sandwiches to really good steaks). They always have a number of specials and a very large list of sides.

A very nice , if loud, place to have an informal dinner. The 6+ of us had everything from oyster dinners (very good) to different sandwiches w/sides (all very good). Service was very good , fast and correct. Prices seem to be going up (certain items) but still a very good restaurant and portions seem to be about right.

With all the high ratings I was expecting better. The service was good all though we had quite a long wait for our food. My daughter and I had a sandwich and soup for lunch. Both the sandwich and the soup were very good but nothing to get overly excited about. The sandwich had a lot more slaw and tomato... More

Was so good we went two nights in a row. Staff is bustling, attentive, and friendly. Menu offers variety and quality is unmatched. Had Funny Farm sandwich, grilled BLT salad, blackened Mahi tacos, bread pudding, pecan pie. We asked our waiter D.J. if the owners were onsite and he informed that they were in the back cooking. Dedicated to their... More

I have been to most sports bars in all of the large and mid size cities in the commonwealth and I can honestly say that Winchell's has them all beat. They have a great menu with all the usual fare you would expect, but a lot of delicious surprises too! They serve an amazing breakfast 7 days a week, with... More

If you are looking for some great food that will leave you feeling like you wont need to eat for a month when done then you have to give Winchell's a try. Be warned most of the food is not what you would call healthy, they cook their food to taste great not to be overly healthy. For example the... More

Group of seven of us had breakfast Saturday morning-attentive service, terrific pancakes and great sides especially the cheesy grits-not health food, but delicious and generous portions-

After scrolling through Trip Advisor reviews, we decided to give Winchell's a try...We were very impressed with the quality of food & friendly service. We decided on a Hot Brown...which is a Kentucky tradition from what was explained...It was excellent along with all the other items that were ordered. There was also a nice selection of beers including some local... More

Yummy breakfast with several unique choices like the KY eggs Benedict made with country ham. Lunch is also great with lots of sandwiches, soups, etc. Overall a wonderful place, family friendly, reasonably priced, with awesome home cooking!
