It is so good! We live in Dallas and I am trying to convince my wife we need to go to Lexington just to go to Ramsey's. Outstanding home cooking. The Kentucky Derby pie is heavenly! My favorite place without a doubt in the 39 states we have traveled. more

Very good fried skinless boneless chicken breasts. However, I prefer skin and bones...but nice flavor all the same. Contrary to what the other reviewer said about the corn oysters...I thought them heavy and amost rubbery...but good flavor. The fried chicken livers were mighty tasty. Oh the cholesterol! The "hot brown" selection wasn't brown but my mother said it was delish.... more

My husband and I ate at the Harrodsburg restaurant and were very pleased with our food. However, as they were clearing the table, they spilled green beans on my new shirt. They apologized but didn't offer to dry-clean the shirt. Also, when I checked my VISA bill, they had added $1.00 extra to the tip! I don't appreciate their taking... more

Ramsey's is a place to get a casual meal of traditional, Southern comfort food. I especially like the catfish (either normal or the spicier Cajun style), and the deep friend chicken breasts. They have a large assortment of vegetable sides from which to choose, including fried green tomatoes, mashed potatoes, apples, carrots and corn. My favorite side dish here goes... more

Went to the location near UK campus. The building itself is a bit old, but still has character. The bathrooms could use some updating. BUT, the dessert menu is out of this world! Our table ordered items such as Turtle Cheesecake, Brownie Pie, Pecan Pie, etc. They were all fabulous. The coffee was above average as well. Service was fast... more

I stopped by the Harrodsburg Road location around 6pm on December 5, 2006 and ordered a sirloin steak medium well with house salad, baked potato and sauteed spinach. The house salad was straight from a bag and could've used a tomato wedge or a slice of cucumber or both. Perhaps bag salad would be a better name. The sirloin steak... more

We ate at a Ramsey's Diner recently when traveling to Lexington for a football game. It was good quality Southern comfort food in a noisy but friendly atmosphere. The service was very good and both my wife and I liked our meals. more

I have been a faithful Ramsey's patron since they've opened. I love the casual atmosphere and the mis-matched chairs. I've had just about everything on the menu, but the cajun fried catfish is my favorite. Their pies are to die for!! more

I had lunch at the High Street location. The food---chicken salad, creamed corn, cornbread, and kale----tasted like the food I grew up on in the kitchens of my two Kentucky grandmothers. High praise for a restaurant. Service was fast and friendly. As I was getting ready to leave my thoughtful server offered an iced tea to go. Well done, Ramsey's.... more
