Good food, good portions

Ramsey's has good food and they provide you with healthy portions as well. I ordered the Charbroiled Pork Chops with the red sauce and they were very good. However, the best thing I had was the Parmesan Deep Fried Corn on the Cob - first time I had Corn on the Cob with Parmesan Cheese and it was... read more

Great restaurant. Home cooking. 13 country style entrees combined with 3 veggies. Variety of 23 vegetables. Try the fried corn. It also serves breakfast all day. One price for the breakfast, but you tell them how many eggs, how much bacon or sausage along with home fried potatoes, grits and more. The food is excellent. I prefer the meat loaf,... More

A group of seven of us dined together. The food at Ramsey's was good. Sandwiches were large and had to be eaten with a knife and fork. My chef salad topped with chicken tenders had a lot of lettuce but was rather skimpy with the other ingredients. The day's vegetable side special turned out to be three very, very skinny... More

Arrived well after 9PM on a Sunday night, tired & hungry after a long drive to Lexington. We went to Ramsey's because of favorable online reviews and to this particular one because it was near our lodging for the night. We had expected an inviting diner-style atmosphere also based on the reviews. Instead what we found was a dimly-lighted sports... More

I love the veggie plate, the soup beans taste like my grandma's, as if they have been cooking for hours. The fried green tomatoes are always awesome. Cornbread is done right. The garden salad with homemade Ranch is enormous.

Went for breakfast. Traditional breakfast with more than we could eat for $9.95. Then saw on the menu Hot Browns with meat or veggies. Then saw chicken livers yummy and the PIES. Man oh man. We were so greedy our take out after the breakfast was $58. Good service and a fun place to go. Don't miss it.

In a strip mall surrounded by office buildings, above a fitness center sits Ramsey's Diner. Actually was staying in Lexington and we needed to go eat and a friend suggested we eat here. It was a wonderful choice. It was actually summer (forgot to review it in a timely manner). Ramsey's has a small outside patio of which we took... More

We had asked a horse tour operator where the best place would be to try a Hot Brown, and we are so glad he steered us to Ramsey's! Turned out it was only a few blocks from where we were staying, too! Had read about the Hot Brown being a regional classic food and was not disappointed that I ordered... More

You must try Ramsey's if you are in Lexington. The pork chops with red sauce are my favorite. I always pair it with the fried corn, potato salad, and fried green tomatoes. The desserts are wonderful - cherry almond crisp is my favorite. You will not be disappointed.
