Best place ever, don't miss a opportunity to get a great meal and soak up some authentic Lexington atmosphere. I love this place! The food is fantastic. Don't forget to read about the Inn and visit Merrick's grave when you leave.

Love this place. Don't visit Lexington without a stop at Merrick's. Not for calorie counters. Make reservations well ahead of time.

We ate here two years ago and this restaurant continues to offer quality dining in a comfortable setting. The staff is outstanding. We were there during a football weekend and the opening weekend at Keenland. So, although they were incredibly busy, attention to fine dining was the priority of staff.

We have not been to the Merrick Inn in almost 20 years, because our last visit was so disappointing (an anniversary dinner that was, as best we can recall, was simply less than perfect). Thanks to our daughter giving us a gift card as part of our Christmas present, we could pay another visit with no downside. Leave it to... More

We went there last night with high hopes, but it didn't pan out so well. We ate on the patio and the noise was so bad you could hear the people at your table talk. The food was mediocre and the service was sooo slow. It took an over an hour to get our food. I would not go back.... More

Walk in the door and be transformed into a Southern Gentleman's Jockey Club. Great ambiance. Outstanding service. And of course, fabulous cuisine. Two most popular entrees on the menu are 10's, Southern Fried Chicken and Walleye Pike. But there are many other great choices both steaks and a humongous Hot Brown!! But wait, how about the buttery bread and the... More

Went here with 10 of my colleagues. We had to make a reservation since we had such a large group. The restaurant is an old house made into a fabulous dining experience. I ordered the green goddess salad, green beans, squash & Kentucky fried chicken. It was so delish & reasonably prices. Some of the other entrees were a little... More

On Saturday night September 6, I hosted a dinner for 30 guests who came from New York, Florida, and Connecticut as well as Lexington to celebrate my daughter's marriage. Alex and his staff operative from the first day I spoke to them and the night of the event were incredibly attentive and provided excellent and exactly as we ordered it.The... More

Elegant, and delicious, dining. We weren't dressed well so we chose the porch and had a great evening. The Mint Juleps were excellent. The grouper fingers were great but my wife's dish of chicken pasta with Chardonnay sauce was absolutely superb and ranks right up there with the best dishes ever. Fried chicken was good but not outstanding. Service was... More
