Dinner for a Large Group - No Problem

This was a dinner for a group of about 40 and the service was fast, efficient and very pleasant. Despite the size of the group, the food was excellent. I had the tenderloin and it was perfectly cooked, tender and delicious.

I hosted a business dinner last night at Portofino and had a great experience from beginning to end. Our server was engaged with us and made the meal special. I had the special, the halibut, which was spectacular, as well as the key lime pie, which was the perfect topping to the evening.

My kids and I went here for a late lunch, early dinner before hitting the road back to Chicago. We were the only 3 in the restaurant at the time. The atmosphere was great. Our server greeted us and answered our questions. We had Cesar salad, a mixed salad, penne pasta with Alfredo sauce with added grilled shrimp, and a... More

We are in Lexington on a tour of bourbon distilleries in the area and found this wonderful Italian restaurant. Everything was perfect. I loved the atmosphere, the staff and the soft '60's rock in the background. I had the duck and my wife the ravioli. Both were presented colorfully and were delicious. We enjoyed creme brûlée for desert. Wayne Masterman,... More

It had been a while since I had dined at Portofino's. As always ... a nice contemporary decor with seating spaced appropriately. They have a good selection of wine & bourbon to choose from. There is a selection of different items from the menu that should satisfy most with some original items created by the chef. Although the season wasn't... More

We dined with close friends and were not disappointed. The owner came to our table to welcome our return and we were seated on time at a very comfortable table. The wine list was superb and the bar was well stocked for any taste. We dined on goat cheese salad, tuna appetizers, and bruschetta. We delighted on lamb shank, porschetta,... More

We met as a group of about 35. The restaurant has individual rooms for groups and they are separated enough that you have the feel of being totally private and tended to. The wait staff were very friendly and offered suggestions. I took up the suggestion of salmon, and asked to have blackened which was not on the menu. The... More

I waited a long while for my appetizer and then waited more for my chicken dish. If you are not in a hurry, feel free. It was a Wednesday and it was packed and noisy. I sat at the bar and 1 bartender. Not sure if they were just over extended. The brushetta was amazing! Highly recommend it. The chicken... More

My husband and I went here for our anniversary dinner on 10-18. We were seated by what turned out to be a server's station, so there was constantly someone walking by or standing by out table. My husband had mentioned when he made reservations that it was our anniversary, so it would have been nice to be seated somewhere more... More
