I tried not to let this review be colored by the fact that the place was crazy busy. This is a fact of living in Lexington during Keeneland. They seemed slammed by the crowd, and the reserved table was not ready. So we stood in the over-crowded bar for about 10 minutes waiting for our drink. When we got our... More

Took my wife out for her birthday dinner, expecting good food, atmosphere and great service. I was not disappointed! My wife was delighted! We had the filet mignon and it was cooked to perfection. Everything was fantastic, from the appetizer, salads, entree and even the dessert. If you want a great experience, then you should try it!

What a great meal. We've often ordered steak but this was the best. I had the bone in filet, turns out the cows only offer up two of these.........who knew. It was like butter. I also had the brussel sprout salad, smoked sprouts grated with other yummy items and of course bacon. My husband and son had different cuts with... More

Our previous favorite restaurants keep closing (Jennifer's Woodland Grill and most recently Jonathan's at Gratz Park) so I'm hopeful our enthusiasm for Cole's doesn't jinx them. We were in town following a good day at Keeneland and had made reservations for 6:45. At Cole's. So glad we did...they were packed as was the parking lot. Note you need to enter... More

Cole's is one of our "go to" restaurants when guests are in town. In fact, we recently took a house guest for dinner, and when her husband came in to town a few days later, she wanted to go back!! Now that is a recommendation!! I love the beet and goat cheese salad and the mac n cheese which are... More

We live in New York City and were in Lexington to participate in an event at Transylvania University. My spouse's brother and sister-in-law moved to Lexington recently, and we chose Coles as the place for dinner on Saturday night to celebrate their birthdays. We are "foodies" and international travelers. The food at Coles was very good, we were very impressed.... More

The portions are perfect! The salads are unique and the dressings are light but flavorful. My snapper was perfectly cooked and seasoned and the duck my husband ordered melted in your mouth and is served with a whipped purple sweet potato which was beautiful and tasty! I cannot say enough about finishing off a fabulous meal with warm chocolate chip... More

The food was delicious. Try the warm brussel and bacon salad. Absolutely delicious. Our waitress Diane was very friendly and accommodating. The beef shoulder was so tender it nearly fell apart on the fork. The pan seared trout was excellent!

Coles is legit we've dined all over the world and we have a great hidden secret in Lexington. My wife's filet and my NY strip were better than 3Forks in Dallas one of our favorites. The quality of the steak was incredible perfect marbling and texture then Cole did his magic. The Best steak in the Tri state area by... More

Cole's was very busy for a downtown restaurant on a Monday night. We had attentive and professional service from Josh and a nice meal. My filet was perfectly medium rare, as ordered, and very tender and tasty. My husband ordered the duck breast, but having had the best duck breast in his life the night before elsewhere, he was a...
