This is a really neat spot about 15 minutes outside of Lexington. It's got an old country general store vibe, and the food is top notch. I've never done dinner here, as the atmosphere seems more suited to a breakfast or lunch in my opinion... but I'm sure dinner would be great. As others have mentioned, it gets packed! As... More

Went on a Friday night with my wife, made sure to get there early (5:45pm) so we could get a table. The line at the counter awkwardly winds around, so people are standing over you while you eat; hoping you leave so they can get your table. Makes it hard to enjoy the bluegrass music. Had a barbecue tofu po... More

The Po'boy was amazingly yummy. Ordering is done at the counter, it's apparently a popular spot. The long line of customers were squished like sardines and it took quite awhile for the line to inch forward. Iced beverages are dispensed at a counter; patrons hovered around, waiting to get their drinks. The iced tea dispensers had to be refilled several... More

Good food. Great drive. Love good food and good service, with no tipping. It is set in a bluegrass setting. The folks dining were diverse, in age, ethnicity and interests. It is absolutely wonderful to feel good getting there, enjoy the food and enjoy the other diners. For the money, it is value. Not fancy, just good. Kids will appreciate... More

All my wife and I can say is a great little place in the rolling hills of Kentucky. We were in Lexington for a week on business and visited the market twice it was that good. If you traveling through Lexington it is an easy 15 min drive off the I-75 and to add you will see beautiful horse farms... More

Windy Corner represents one of the things I love about Lexington. You take a beautiful drive 10 minutes out of the city to a restaurant with an unremarkable look, you go in and get a great meal, and you observe (and overhear) fellow diners who come from all different walks of life. Our latest trip to Windy Corner was on... More

This is our go to place in Lexington. We always find great food here every time. Nightly specilas are great, particularly Wednesday shrimp etouffee, Friday fish special (amber jack for this week) and Saturday ribs. This week's soup of the day, zucchini and tomato soup, is fantastic. Salad greens are of best quality, love the salmon (steamed) salad. Also like... More

My family and I stopped in on a Sunday morning for breakfast. The place is a cross between hometown diner and general store. It sets in the middle of horse farms, beautiful scenery. It was busy on this morning so it took a little bit to get our food. We all had something different and everything was great. Make this... More
