a bit crowded

Just a few miles out of Lexington wonderful food awaits ! The breakfast, lunch and dinner are beyond compare. Service is not as fast as a hungry person might like- but worth the wait.. Locally sourced and well presented!

The most beautiful drive out to chef Ouida's hideaway. Order at the counter and they bring you your food to the table as it is ready. Everything is great here, and the specials are not yo be missed. Go in the summer when you can sit on the back porch. Great little market items you can pick up there as... More

This is a no frill kitchen with just good food. I like looking out the windows. We ate there in 2012 when the location seemed more remote. Since Lexington is exploding with growth it will probably be crowded out by new eateries. That's what happens when a wonderful place gets discovered.

We stopped here while traveling. Our lunch was fantastic and very vegetarian friendly! The staff was very accomodating and the view was spectacular. We watched two baby horses playing in a field while we ate. Highly recommend it!

First time customer. While there was about a twenty minute wait on food, it was worth it. The oyster poboy was excellent. Two people can split an order and feel full. The fried pickle chips are fresh and homemade with an excellent smoky flavored ranch dip. Fresh homemade potato salad was delish! Highly recommend this place. Outdoor seating if the... More

Have been coming here to enjoy Southern food for many years and todays visit was as good as always. Friendly service and lots to choose from on the menu. It's not health food, but every once in a while that's OK. We had catfish, a "Kentucky Boy" poor boy (amazing) and a chicken salad. Everything was wonderful! When in the... More

The Windy Corner restaurant is a great place with good barbecue, seafood, sweet tea, as well as merchandise from several local artisans! The only downside to this great place is that it is almost always crowded.

My wife and I recently saw Windy Corner featured on an episode of Secrets of the Bluegrass Chefs. Based on what we saw on our TV, we could not wait to pay a visit for a Saturday morning breakfast. On the show, they went on and on about the Hangtown Po Boy (fried oysters). The host said it looks like... More

Wiindy Corners provides a wonderful scenic drive and location, a lovely stand-to-order menu that varies (awesome grain salad) and some very fine dessert choices. The rustic style atmosphere makes for a fun and relaxed visit. Prices are good, any meal of the day. It can get very crowded but the line moves relatively quickly. Very popular on the weekend for... This little restaurant is nestled in the middle of "horse country" on all sides. You can eat and look out the windows to watch the horses graze. The foods pretty good and the service is friendly. There are a lot of KY Proud products used and sold in the store which I think is good business. My wife and I... More
