In July 2004 Will Pieratt and Kevin Heathcoat took a the huge leap of faith and opened Bourbon n' Toulouse by maxing out seven credit cards and simply hoping things worked out for the best. The business plan was simple: cook some damn good food, give back to the community that help keep their lights on and have as much fun as the law allows! Ten years later these guys are still extremely passionate about what they do and they haven't grown up a bit, just ask their wives! Always cooking and laughing, these guys are serious about having fun. Stop in and sample the wide array of tasty Cajun and Creole dishes, grab a beer from the ever changing selection and drift away to their own little version of The French Quarter. Not bad for a washed up musician and a retired elementary teacher!

Highly recommend

Tried this place on a recommendation and it lived up to it's reputation. We got there right at lunch and it was pretty busy. A lot of cops were there, so it must be good. One thing I love about this place especially if you are new, you can try a free sample before ordering. We tried several... read more

Wasn't all that impressed. I had the jambalaya and red beans and rice, could have used a little more zip.

dont come here expecting ambiance or romance...no menu, no waiter. order off a chalkboard move down a few feet and the food is almost instantly waiting for you on paper plates. the food though is really interesting and very good. i got the red beans and rice/jambalaya split plate. both were good...doused them in the homemade hot sauce which really... It looked a bit sketchy from the outside, but the food was great. They offer half portions, which is wonderful or a person can mix two entrees together. There was almost no wait time for the food. The entrees come with bread. There was a large selection of menu items and I plan on returning to try out a few... More

My husband had been wanting to try this restaurant so stopped by tonight. Menu is on wall just inside the door. You order at the register and then get your drink. There's not an over abundance of seating - we got the last 2-top altho there was some barstools at the window. I ordered the chicken étouffée which was delicious!... More

discovered this place after hearing a lot of good things about the food. This is not the place for Decour, but is one of those places that is all about the food. The staff is always friendly and helpful, don't miss out on some delightful food.

By far the best Cajun food in Lexington, super casual and great prices! Fun, funky place, grab a beer, order at the counter, pick your own bottle of salsa.

We have dined here several times and they never disappoint us. The service is prompt and they get our order (even special requests) right every time. If you are like me you get to a point when you would just rather not eat if you have to eat another burger or sandwich... that's when I hit this place. Great food... More

The food was good (with exception of bread with spiced margerine on it, but then something other than marg/oleo would add to cost) I especially liked my gumbo and jambalaya. If I had it to do over I would have gotten 1/2 order of gumbo and substituted jambalaya for the rice. Way more food than I could eat. So it... More
