In July 2004 Will Pieratt and Kevin Heathcoat took a the huge leap of faith and opened Bourbon n' Toulouse by maxing out seven credit cards and simply hoping things worked out for the best. The business plan was simple: cook some damn good food, give back to the community that help keep their lights on and have as much fun as the law allows! Ten years later these guys are still extremely passionate about what they do and they haven't grown up a bit, just ask their wives! Always cooking and laughing, these guys are serious about having fun. Stop in and sample the wide array of tasty Cajun and Creole dishes, grab a beer from the ever changing selection and drift away to their own little version of The French Quarter. Not bad for a washed up musician and a retired elementary teacher!

Unique and delicious daily specials

The menu changes daily and there are a variety of different dishes to choose from. There is a huge selection of sauces to spice up the meals. You can dine in or take out. Not fancy but a fun atmosphere with limited seating.

Small eclectic place and a favorite with the local collage crowd. Not fancy at all, but service was friendly and quick, prices were extremely reasonable. They have several main dished which you can combo together to try more items. I had Gumbo and Crawfish Etouffee. The gumbo was very good with just enough spice to be enjoyable. The crawfish etouffee... More

If you want some Cajun food at bargain prices there is no finer place. It is a small restaurant with counter service, but very friendly owners and staff that serve amazingly good food and very low prices.

Fast and friendly service, great food and a great atmosphere. Tucked away in Chevy Chase, it's a Lexington staple and you won't want to miss out on this incredible place. Even when they're packed full and busy, you'll see a smile on the staff's face and a big plate of hearty Cajun food.

After asking many locals and again trusting trip advisor looked for this great gem right by the campus of University of Kentucky. Drove past it at first...if you blink you will miss it. Very artsy and cute with a fun vibe and amazing food and service. Upon entering asked for recommendations and was allowed to sample a few selections prior... More

great location downtown, a small but very functional space, fast service if you are looking for something quick or to go. They always have a good variety of specials to choose from including some vegetarian options. I think it's a great value for the $ and quality of food. Very casual so no worries there either.

Excellent food! Great gluten free choices. Food had the perfect amount of spice and heat. I had the chicken chili and the black beans with cartelized corn. Amazing! I will definitely go back:)

I eat here every chance I get!! The Red Beans and Rice with Spicy sausage is absolutely the best dish they serve - and make sure you try the Power Garlic Sauce - it is amazing!! Don't forget to get extra bread - because you will be going back if you dont! Highly recommend this place - but if you... More
