In July 2004 Will Pieratt and Kevin Heathcoat took a the huge leap of faith and opened Bourbon n' Toulouse by maxing out seven credit cards and simply hoping things worked out for the best. The business plan was simple: cook some damn good food, give back to the community that help keep their lights on and have as much fun as the law allows! Ten years later these guys are still extremely passionate about what they do and they haven't grown up a bit, just ask their wives! Always cooking and laughing, these guys are serious about having fun. Stop in and sample the wide array of tasty Cajun and Creole dishes, grab a beer from the ever changing selection and drift away to their own little version of The French Quarter. Not bad for a washed up musician and a retired elementary teacher!

Great Cajun food

My husband had been wanting to try this restaurant so stopped by tonight. Menu is on wall just inside the door. You order at the register and then get your drink. discovered this place after hearing a lot of good things about the food. This is not the place for Decour, but is one of those places that is all about the food. The staff is always friendly and helpful, don't miss out on some delightful food.

By far the best Cajun food in Lexington, super casual and great prices! Fun, funky place, grab a beer, order at the counter, pick your own bottle of salsa.

We have dined here several times and they never disappoint us. The service is prompt and they get our order (even special requests) right every time. If you are like me you get to a point when you would just rather not eat if you have to eat another burger or sandwich... that's when I hit this place. Great food... More

The food was good (with exception of bread with spiced margerine on it, but then something other than marg/oleo would add to cost) I especially liked my gumbo and jambalaya. If I had it to do over I would have gotten 1/2 order of gumbo and substituted jambalaya for the rice. Way more food than I could eat. So it... More

Having read only the topline reviews for this place, I was excited to go. But reading only the overall score doesn't tell the story. People need to know that it's essentially cajun fast food. You order at the counter and serve your own drink. This is OK, just know what you are in for. I'm glad I didn't follow through... More

Just hit in from our 9 hour drive from Toronto and we're hungry. Great menu choices. None of us could decide so we all had two half servings. Eating within 10 minutes. Food is so flavourful. And the price 36 bucks for four of us including beer.

The menu changes daily and there are a variety of different dishes to choose from. There is a huge selection of sauces to spice up the meals. You can dine in or take out. Not fancy but a fun atmosphere with limited seating.

Small eclectic place and a favorite with the local collage crowd. Not fancy at all, but service was friendly and quick, prices were extremely reasonable. They have several main dished which you can combo together to try more items. I had Gumbo and Crawfish Etouffee. The gumbo was very good with just enough spice to be enjoyable. The crawfish etouffee... More

If you want some Cajun food at bargain prices there is no finer place. It is a small restaurant with counter service, but very friendly owners and staff that serve amazingly good food and very low prices.
