In July 2004 Will Pieratt and Kevin Heathcoat took a the huge leap of faith and opened Bourbon n' Toulouse by maxing out seven credit cards and simply hoping things worked out for the best. The business plan was simple: cook some damn good food, give back to the community that help keep their lights on and have as much fun as the law allows! Ten years later these guys are still extremely passionate about what they do and they haven't grown up a bit, just ask their wives! Always cooking and laughing, these guys are serious about having fun. Stop in and sample the wide array of tasty Cajun and Creole dishes, grab a beer from the ever changing selection and drift away to their own little version of The French Quarter. Not bad for a washed up musician and a retired elementary teacher!

Located in the trendy Chevy Chase district, this place is a quintessential college dive. A 15x40 hole in the wall. If you like bland brown gravy over rice, this is the place for you. Tonight they were out of gumbo. I ordered the chicken étouffée and the shrimp étouffée. One small piece of chicken and three shrimp in a plate... More

I have wanted to visit this restaurant since I moved here a year ago. I finally got the opportunity, this weekend. It's not a sit down and be waited on restaurant. The register guy was so nice. He had a beautiful friendly welcoming smile. The food was inexpensive and good and was served on styrofoam plates. Looked like a good... More

If you're looking for casual Cajun, this is a quaint little restaurant in the heart of Chevy Chase. Eclectic decor and friendly staff.

The food is outstanding. Have a beer and ask what they suggest, try something new everytime. Always get extra toast, it is the best

I grew up in a Cajun household and this comes as close to my mama's cooking as I can find. Like the Chicken Creole and Chicken Etouffee.

This is one of my favorite places to eat in town! The food is delicious and plentiful, bring an appetite! I've never had a bad meal here, everything is good! My personal favorite is the chicken étouffée. My friends from Louisiana agree, this is cajun done right! The entrees are not overly spicy and they have many hot sauces and... More

everything is super spicy, so not kid friendly...unless they like hot dogs. They have great options for vegetarians and meat-eaters alike. And $1PBR....who can go wrong with that!

The environment is so-so and the cleanliness is less than desirable. I went there as a YaYa alternative and was disappointed. I do have friends that love this place so I'll give it another try at a later date.

My wife and I recently stopped here for supper. We thought it was more of a sit down restaurant but still enjoyed our visit. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and offered samples to decide what we wanted to order. We both ended up getting half and half plates for $7.50 so we could try 2 menu... More
