We sit in the heart of all that is great, with a view that is timeless. We have taken these products, crafted and grown from across the state and region to create the wine, food, spirits, and cocktails that have made the name Jean Farris so much more than just a brand. For us Jean Farris is the wine, but it is at home on a table filled with friends. It's home is Kentucky.

Beautiful atmosphere!

Limited menus, especially if you have shellfish allergies, as I do. Frustrating to find something interesting if you can't have the muscles, scallops, or crab meat. Waiter was informative. Might or might not return? Maybe one more time in the spring or summer

We ate here last summer, and were not pleased at all with our meals. This time, we thoroughly enjoyed everything! We tried their malbec, and it was perfect with all our dinners. We had the green tomato appetizer which was a great way to begin. Bouillabaisse, butternut squash ravioli, and the beef special were all tasty. Because we wanted to... More

Got there mid afternoon, limited to a charcuterie snack, but both the sausage and cheese plates were solid. They have become a bit proud of their wine with some bottles creating $60. The Pinot was meh, representing more port aroma and flavor. We'll be back, but probably not to buy bottles to take home.

Came here for dinner with friends in Lexington for a girls weekend. Food was good and wine was average (had the red flight). Not their grapes, but their blend.

Took my boyfriend here to celebrate his birthday. We both had a wine flight and our food was absolutely delicious. I was sad that I didn't have room for dessert because I imagine that would have been wonderful as well. Our server was friendly, helpful, and allowed us to take our time enjoying our meal. Overall, we had a great... More

We arrived after dark, so we didn't get to see the vineyard or view. The house Chardonnay was priced well, with a 5 or 8 ounce pour available. My husband had the beet salad, although not big enough to share he loved the dressing and thin slices of beets. The onion soup had a great broth that tasted homemade, and... More

We made reservations for 5pm Saturday evening. We had a 7pm appointment in Frankfort, so informed out waiter, Chris, that we were time limited. Our dinner was delicious. The recommended wine was very good and dessert was served in plenty of time for us to leave to make our 7pm appointment. We were seated in an all glass open room,... More

First time here, & it won't be our last. Hidden gem in the bluegrass! Jean Farris runs a first class restaurant! Great views inside, & out. We were a party of 4 celebrating a birthday. Waiter was good, food was excellent! They allowed us plenty of time to mingle, but not so much as to few neglected. Can't wait to... More

Stopped in after a weekend of camping at Fort Boonesborough State Park. Was very pleasantly surprised! Loved the location and grounds were lovely. The bartender was very knowledgeable on all the wines and craft beers. Sampled some cheeses and they were amazing! Definitely want to go back and have dinner!!

We have eaten here before, and have been disappointed. A friend likes to dine here, so we thought we'd try JF again. The malbec we ordered was one of their better reds, and was OK for $32. Everything is a la carte here. One diner ordered the garden pasta which she liked, another ordered the salmon special, and two diners... More
