We sit in the heart of all that is great, with a view that is timeless. We have taken these products, crafted and grown from across the state and region to create the wine, food, spirits, and cocktails that have made the name Jean Farris so much more than just a brand. For us Jean Farris is the wine, but it is at home on a table filled with friends. It's home is Kentucky.

We have eaten here before, and have been disappointed. A friend likes to dine here, so we thought we'd try JF again. The malbec we ordered was one of their better reds, and was OK for $32. Everything is a la carte here. One diner ordered the garden pasta which she liked, another ordered the salmon special, and two diners... More

This is our favorite eating establishment in Lexington. We have never been disappointed with the selection of unique foods, from appetizers to desserts. If you are a foodie, Jean Farris is a must.

The food at Jean Farris simply does not disappoint. From the opening appetizer of a cheese board to the crescendo of dessert, the meal is unmatched. On the. Other hand, the service can be improved. In January around 5:15 p.m., we were seated in the enclosed porch area. It was freezing! The portable heaters were not turned on although three... More

We visited your winery while traveling recently. We chose to taste the sweet wines. Our server barely noticed we were there. She was serving what appeared to be three regulars their cocktails. When she finally brought us our tastings, she didn't take the time to explain what we were tasting. She just walked away. We had to call her back... More

Hate to ding a restaurant after one visit, but I won't be back here even if travels take us back through the area. We arrived on a rainy sunday afternoon and there was 1 table with people for lunch. We were seated by the same young lady that eventually greeted us at the hostess stand. And I do mean, eventually.... More

I wouldn't go back. The food isn't bad but at these prices it should be much better. Their wines are nothing to write home about either.

This is a wonderful winery, especially for those who like their wines dry and complex...although, there are a few sweeter choices. The server was cordial, very professional and appropriately attentive and helpful. We loved the wines and stayed for dinner and the food was excellent and the service was fantastic. This was our second visit, we purchased bottles of wine... More

I was in Lexington visiting some friends for the weekend. We were looking for an outdoor venue to have a couple of drinks since it was a gorgeous Sunday afternoon. We decided to go to Jean Farris Winery and I was not disappointed. My friends had been before, however, this was my first visit to the winery, definitely not my... More

Service was very slow. Forty five minutes after we ordered they brought rolls that tasted like they were prepackaged. Our food was overlooked. My pork roast special was like leather and my husbands fish was very dry. The wine was outstanding though. It's more like a bar with bar food but very expensive. Not worth the trip. I'm giving it...
