We sit in the heart of all that is great, with a view that is timeless. We have taken these products, crafted and grown from across the state and region to create the wine, food, spirits, and cocktails that have made the name Jean Farris so much more than just a brand. For us Jean Farris is the wine, but it is at home on a table filled with friends. It's home is Kentucky.

Excellent food, service could use some tweaking

My family went to dinner last night with my parents (group of five), and we had a great evening at Jean Farris. I would have given this five stars if the service had been up-to-par with the food. We ordered a cheese board that was excellent, and then we all ordered soups, salads and main courses... read more

I was in Lexington visiting some friends for the weekend. We were looking for an outdoor venue to have a couple of drinks since it was a gorgeous Sunday afternoon. We decided to go to Jean Farris Winery and I was not disappointed. My friends had been before, however, this was my first visit to the winery, definitely not my... More

Service was very slow. Forty five minutes after we ordered they brought rolls that tasted like they were prepackaged. Our food was overlooked. My pork roast special was like leather and my husbands fish was very dry. The wine was outstanding though. It's more like a bar with bar food but very expensive. Not worth the trip. I'm giving it... No doubt about it - gourmet everything. You must try the brussels sprouts. Mouth watering delicious - I wanted every sprout for myself - no sharing. The charcuterie platter for sharing has great variety giving everyone a chance to sample. The Petite Syrah wine is outstanding!!!!

We had a great time. This was our second time going. The first was on a weekend and then reservations are a must. This time was a Thursday and they had lots of space. Both times the servers were very nice, helpful, friendly, and made the experience special. The food is so delicious!!! Cocktails were fun and prohibition era style.

The accommodations was very nice. We had 12 in our group. Service was good, food was good, I was not crowded the night we went (Sunday). The prices are HIGH. My wife and I had 1 drink each and she had an appetizer for her meal and i had a strip steak, we shared both. Our bill with tip was... More

I have been going to Jean Farris for years and I have to say that two things are always consistent: 1) great wine and 2) the food is always delicious. I was there with a large group on Sunday for brunch and the menu offered a lot of great options. I had the shrimp and grits and they were absolutely... More

We had sunday brunch at Jean Farris Winery. Brunch is served until 2PM we had a 4 egg vegetable Omelet with Feta Cheese, a great combination. We also had the eggs benedict over Crab Cakes they were awesome. The cheese board beforehand is a great way to get started with wines grown on their property as wines not grown on... More

This was our third trip to Lexington and to Jean Farris. The drive down Old Richmond Road to the winery is spectacular with beautifully manicured horse farms and tobacco fields. While the restaurant boasts a smart business casual atmosphere, servers in shorts and tennis shoes made it feel more like a roadhouse, in my opinion. The menu had changed in... More

We were there on an uncrowded Tuesday night and were seated outside under a covered patio looking out over the tranquil fields and vineyards. The wines, which has won several prizes, was very good - I personally especially liked the Merlot, Pinot Noir, and Cabernet Franc, less so the Sangiovese. The appetizers we had were OK, but no more than... More
