Cuban Food!

If you are in a rush, Old San Juan isn't the place for you... BUT... it is completely worth the wait! The food is fresh and delicious. A must try in Lexington!

Had the Cuban sandwich.. It was just OK.. It was a lot of bread with very little meat on it. The order of fried sweet plantains were large chunks but tasted good. I spent 18$ on this sandwich and sides .. The food was not anything especial the restaurant has no atmosphere and the service was not at a high... More

We stopped by late one evening for dinner and were pleased at the food options and the wonderfully authentic cuban food. The chicken sandwich was well seasoned and the maduros were delicious. I had the rice, beans and eggs dish and it was definitely what I grew up with so I will definitely be back in the future. The cafe... More

But I know how to identify food I really like. And I think I know when it is well prepared.I really like this well-prepared food. The owners are super-friendly and helpful. Each and every dish we have ordered over half-a-dozen trips has been right at the top of what I think it could have been if it were perfect. The... More

We were shocked to find this type of restaurant in Lexington. The food is very good, authentic. The people are nice and friendly. It seems to be owned/run by a young couple with their 9 month old baby. I ordered the revoltillo (scrambled eggs, onion, cheese) which comes on homemade bread. It's delicious and huge! My husband gets the ropa... More

Really enjoyed the white rice, black beans, "platanos maduros" and the "ropa vieja" at ths restaurant. My wife and I are Cuban born and we were in search of good Cuban food during our visit to Lexington. We found it. The owners and cook are a young Cuban couple who recently emigrated from Cuba. You can expect well made and... More

I'm a native Floridian and grew up on Cuban food. This place took me home. Had the sweet plantains, black beans and rice, hit the spot. Others had the Cubano - good but not the best sandwich of its type I've eaten. Will try it again the next time in Lexington.

This place is low key, friendly, authentic Cuban food. It looks like nothing special on the outside, and when you go in it doesn't look like a whole lot more - a half stocked grocery store and very casual seating. Not much to look at in the décor department, but man can they make some delicious food. If you want... More

I've had Cuban sandwiches from a few different diners in Miami, this one beats them all. The restaurant is small, quiet and casual and has a friendly family feel to it.
