A warm and friendly welcome awaits the weary traveller.

We can highly recommend The Gardeners for both the food and service. Each time we have been for a meal the food has been fantastic. What we call good old fashioned pub grub. We are greeted as though we are frequent customers although we can only visit a few times each year when seeing family. I... read more

We first came to this pub around April this year and now pop in for lunches regularly. The staff are friendly, the food is lovely and they don't mind having the horse in the garden either 😊🏇🏿 No one makes you feel unwelcome and they will change something on the menu if they can to suit your requests. Feel totally... More

Went here on Sunday 11th wit two friends for a roast dinner and was absolutely gobsmacked when our roast was brought out, the beef was perfectly cooked, the Yorkshire pudding perfect and the size and quality was amazing! Staff were extremely accommodating and will be back very soon!

We were pleased to return to this pub for an evening meal, having visited on two previous occasions. Warmly welcomed, as before, we enjoyed the home-cooked meals, including the famous steak and ale pie, made with short crust pastry and served with new potatoes, runner beans, cabbage and carrots...so delicious. We shall definitely return, when we are next in the... More

First visit to this pub, but found it to have a friendly atmosphere. Range of draft beers were restricted, but I guess this would be because we visited on a Monday night after a Bank Holiday Weekend. Ate a fantastic plate of Local Ham, Eggs and Chips. Ham just melted in the mouth. My partner struggled to finish her Hunters... More

Called in for a long lunch - had a sandwich and read papers. Top class food - top class beer. A proper traditional pub. Very friendly staff.
