Booked a table for dinner as it was the nearest pub to our b&b. It's a lovely building, done very well, we really liked that the eating areas were separate to the bar. Great outside space and local ales on tap. The food was lovely, and arrived promptly, my only criticism would be that there were no main courses for... More

We were really looking forward to visiting The White Horse for the first time, having been impressed with The Beehive at Horringer (previously owned by Gary and Di). First impressions were favourable, impressive looking building, neat and tidy on the outside. The girl on the bar was welcoming and explained the menu well. The food however was a disappointment, very... More

This was my second visit and I ate here on a Monday evening so it was very quiet; the food was good quality and we'll presented. I personally found the portions to be a bit large but maybe they like their large plates of food in rural Suffolk. The staff are very helpful without being pushy and it is a... More

After several trips for Sunday lunch I stopped in for dinner with my Girdlfriend and am pleased to say the restaurant lived up to its previous standard. Consistently good food and service. A notch above home cooking with a good, constantly changing selection of interesting dishes. On this occasion my entre was actually just sausage and mash but it was... More

We have now made several visits 'en famille' to this pub with the most recent being 4 July 2014. Always have had a good experience here with between 5 and 7 of us going there. You do need to put a little mental effort in at the start as you choose off the boards on the wall as you go in... More

Sunday lunch, not as good as we expected especially after reading all the great reviews here, maybe we were just unlucky? It was actually a lot quieter than expected. Very good service, Adnams beer very tasty. Puds were only average, I had a walnut treacle tart, it was soso. Overall experience ok but over priced.

We went for a family Sunday lunch. It wasn't a good day outside but we had a pleasant welcome inside. Something seemed missing in the overall ambience: maybe because the owners were not around and staff were in charge. Not as many diners as you might expect either. The roast beef wasn't all it might have been: cut too thick... More

I had fish and chips on a Friday night, fish was meaty and chips (and mushy peas) clean and tasty (no old cooking oil). They also provide a lively glass of Aspells. Enjoyed it so much gong back for my birthday meal. Guys who were running it were also very friendly, welcoming and the locals were warm. My only reservation... More

Gary and Diane Kingshott run an excellent pub restaurant. The beer is first class and the food good quality plentiful and fair value for money.

Visited again for a special birthday dinner with a party of nine. Everything went very smoothly and, as usual, the food was excellent, good service by friendly staff. Our guests were all impressed by the quality of the food and also the fact that the plates were hot ! Had doubts about how they would cope with a table for... More
