Me and my husband decided to have a meal here one evening we almost couldn't find it as its very tucked away but its a nice pretty area. And definitely worth finding , upon arrival we were told we would be lucky to get a table without reservations as it can get very busy! ( a good sign in my... More

Always a nice welcome from the owner and staff in this pretty country pub near Bury St Edmunds. Sit out in the peaceful garden or eat in typical pub atmosphere with low ceiling and beams. I go there for the traditional recipes like whitebait and oxtail, but the menu is varied and always tasty and well served. The wine carte... More

One of the best Pub/Restaurants we have ever had the pleasure of visiting. And it is still a Pub as well as a restaurant, rather than the new bred of Restaurants pretending to be Pubs. The Landlord and Landlady are always friendly and welcoming, as are all the staff, just like the old days. The food is superb, very fairly... More

Went to the Plough Inn at Rede last night for a birthday celebration with my friend. She had recommended it as she had been before. We were not disappointed. The Plough is in quite an isolation location but is well worth going out of your way for. I thought I would pick something different to eat from the extensive special... More

Went to the plough for a meal last night and we weren't disappointed. The pub is tucked away in the corner of a lovely little village, the decor was typical of a country pub full of old beams and country charm. As soon as we walked in we were warmly greeted by the landlord. You choose your meal from the... More

I have been going to the Plough for the past 25 years and the service by Joyce and Brian is always superlative. The atmosphere is very friendly as soon as you enter the door. There is no better pub restaurant for miles around in Suffolk. This comes with my strongest possible commendation. Thank you Joyce and Brian. Neville Stephens

This pub is in a lovely spot, staff were very friendly and the decor is comfortable and authentic. Unfortunately when we ate there last night the three vegetarian options on the menu were just all different versions of vegetable stew - Vegetable Tagine, Lentil Casserole and Chilli con Carne. None were particularly tasty. The sort of basic vegetarian cooking that... More
