Another great 'Ham, egg and chips'!

Anyone reading some of my reviews will know that I have a great penchant for a cosy pub, with great beer and that also offers a delicious plate of ham, egg and chips. The Chase has passed the test! It was a quiet Tuesday in February so the pub was quiet and lacking atmosphere. I am sure it would be different at the weekend or in the summer. We ate in the small restaurant section rather than the bar area. This was cosy and warm with a welcoming fire. We had a delicious home made tomato and basil soup,... More

For an award winning pub the service was more than lacking ! Surly barmaid obviously having an off day - won't be returning in a hurry :(

Quaint pub in lovely setting with great food (good menu choice for a relatively small pub) and with real ales to choose from.

We visited twice over three days and were not disappointed on either occasion. The menu is good traditional pub food, cooked well, served nicely, tasting superb and reasonably priced. Our freshly cooked meal arrived quickly. On the cold and wet days that we visited welcoming fires were burning in both bars. This isn't a huge pub and we'd strongly recommend... More

Two bars, plus garden with great views to Black Mountains. Dog (well behaved) friendly. Real ales and ciders. Great locals. Log fires and super food. Fantastic location for Malvern Hills. Real (and used) old pub games. No music; just conversation and laughter. A true friendly gem.

First visit to The Chase a fairly well hidden pub gem with views off the Malvern Hills. Had traditional Sunday lunch which was good hearty pub fare. Nice beers and local ciders available. Get in early as pub is popular and parking limited (on road or limited space 50yds down road). A treat to find a traditional English pub caring... More

Three of us came for lunch on a weekday and the atmosphere in this olde-worlde pub, tucked away in the foothills of the Malverns, was warm and friendly. The hot specials that we were told are normally available were not available that day, but the menu contained a host of treats at very reasonable prices! The combinations of ingredients suggested...
