Traditional pub with good bar food and beer

We were recmmended to try the Chase as a good stop after climbing from Great Malvern. As the weather was very variable we chickened out and went by car. It was worth it as we had a very pleasant pint and snack lunch. Small and very traditional I expect it would have been even better on a fine day.

My friend and I turned up after a four hour walk in the area hoping for refreshments but the pub was closed as it was late afternoon. The landlord was there and invited us in anyway, sat us by the warm fire and made us sandwiches and tea. Excellent. True hospitality.

We have visited this pub every week for the past 5 years, recently the owner has put a new manager in place! who is certainly not child friendly! he watched our children from the time we walked in until the time we walked out. He was rude, unfriendly, certainly did not make me or my family welcome or comfortable, we... More

Cute little pub, lovely staff. We were served very quickly and were paid a lot of attention which meant we didn't have to wait around for drinks or food. The food was a little on the pricey side and the chips tasted a little like they had been reheated, not sure I would be ordering food here again. The actual... More

Chose to visit this Inn because of trip advisor reviews. The service was rather slow because there was only one man serving and he seemed to be doing drinks, taking orders, serving food, clearing tables all single-handedly. He was very pleasant and coping as well as he could but there were a lot of people and he needed help. However... More

Went for Sunday lunch with friends and an elderly and somewhat blind dog. All made welcome and staff and customers were friendly and hospitable. All the dogs were very well behaved, in case you are wondering! We had a very relaxed lunch. The food was excellent, especially the locally sourced beef for the Sunday roast. Generous portions for main course... More

Needed a nice meal to cheer us up. Found this small pub with a fair sized Restaurant and a super menu. Had an excellent meal. We couldn't help but chuckle as we had just come back from France and 5 French Ladies came to sit on the next table. They obviously didn't realise we spoke French! Made for good entertainment.... This is a smashing little pub, dogs welcome, homely atmosphere & fantastic location. The food is good, I have only had sandwiches, there is a small choice but the quantity you get is large! Will definitely be returning again & again.

Friends recommended the chase inn so we decided to go for Sunday lunch after a walk on the hills. We were greeted by friendly staff and my husband and I both ordered roast beef. The chase inn was recommended to me by a friend,so after our weekly walk on the hills decided to call in for Sunday lunch. Although the pub is small it had lots of character. The staff were friendly and efficient. The food was very good, we both ordered a roast beef dinner and I have to say this is the... More
