We just discovered Horseshoe about a year ago and have been several times since. When we can't agree on a place to eat in Madisonville, we usually head to Horseshoe. With the exception of one ribeye for two dinner, our steaks have always been excellent. Sides and salads are always good, too and we love the cheeseballs as an appetizer.... More

I am in Hopkinsville regularly for business and I make it a point to visit "The Shoe" when time allows. It is one of my favorite places in town for dinner and the best for steak. They have a ribeye that is "to die for" and at the price it can't be beat! The staff is friendly and efficient. The... More

We stopped in on a driving trip a year ago and decided to stop in again on our trip this year. The food is really good and priced right too. We suggest the bacon wrapped pork tenderloin.

Horseshoe is where a lot of business is conducted in Hopkinsville. It is not fancy or well appointed, but besides Harper House, there are not a lot of places that are what visiting business people expect. (And this is more for those associates you already know well.) once they have been there, most want to go back. Seating is the... More

Small, hole-in-the-wall type place, but good food - basically all steaks and the trimmings. My filet mignon was a little tough for that cut of meat and for the price but it was cooked perfectly and they do a great homestyle hashbrowns as a side dish. Service was friendly and attentive.

It's a steak house… and that is what you get. Nothing fancy, just good steaks. It comes complete with a down home country feel. Tablecloths are plastic and have a cow fur pattern. Walls are full of artifacts. It's a bit dark and packed with customers enjoying dinner. Steak, potato, salad… thats what they do.

The prices were high. It was dark, drab, and small. Too hard to move in. So dark we couldn't see when we entered from daylight. We saw a cockroach in the tiny hallway leading to the hot non air conditioned restrooms. My tiny steak salad had greasy grayish thin, fatty, gristled meat, and a bit of iceberg lettuce with imitation... More

While visiting Hopkinsville my husband and I went to the Horseshoe to celebrate our anniversary. I had great memories of this place from growing up and thought it would be a nice night. However, I was very disappointed in the experience. We started with an appetizer of potato skins. The skins looked like they had processed American cheese melted on... More

My family has been enjoying the Horseshoe for many years. One of the best places to enjoy a wonderful steak!! The atmosphere is laid back but we miss Faye and Earl. They brought something special to the place!!!
