The food at the Inn at Shaker Village at Pleasant Hill, Kentucky is quite good and the servings are large. The meals are simple, fresh, basic, and very good though not outstanding. But isn’t that what Shakers are all about? The Inn is more than a restaurant. It’s part of a Shaker Village preservation effort. If it was only a... More

We stayed over night and really found the surroundings very peaceful and relaxing. Our dinner was just okay, not bad but not great. Breakfast was buffet and it had a very wide variety and tasted very good. I have eaten here in the past but it was usually lunch which was always good. The atmosphere is so good that I... More

We ate dinner here on 4-3-13. I had country ham, which was the special of the night and my wife had the pork loin. She said hers was very good. Mine was fine, but not any better than you get at Cracker Barrel for half the price. They served us very good rolls and corn brean, as well as a... More

Perfect Day to visit the Shaker Village...cold, misty...almost eerie. After visiting the historic Shaker Village, we ate lunch at the Inn. Had reservations but I dont think it is necessary. From what I understand, they have a new chef and have remodeled the restaurant. It is wonderful. We both ordered soup. My vegetable soup was the best ever. Simple, not... More

We were visiting family in Harrodsburg and decided to have dinner in the dining room at Shaker Village. We ate in the Winter Kitchen and the atmosphere and food were excellent. The rolls are homemade and come to the table hot and delicious. My husband and I ordered the crabcakes, and they were the best we have ever eaten. We... More

Looking (without success) for someplace my daughter & I could have a special dinner for Christmas Eve, I called many places in and around Harrodsburg. After driving 11 hours, I figured we would just eat at her apartment on Sunday (day before Xmas Eve) but, last minute, we called Shaker Village. What a pleasure! We ordered bigger than usual, planning... More

My husband and I recently dined at the Dining Room at Shaker Village. We had not been there for several years; however we were pleased to find that the food was exceptions, as always. We had the country ham dinner which was delicious. For dessert I had the bread pudding with carmel sauce; it was one of the best bread... More

We stayed overnight at the village, so it seemed natural for us to eat at the restaurant. It's not just any restaurant...they provide a full experience that involves so much more than just the food. The staff is dressed in Shaker clothing, and the decor is very simple and tasteful. It makes you feel as though you are stepping back... More

The food is exceptional, especially breakfast. If you like history, don't miss taking a tour with a historical interpreter.

we stay here every couple of years and eat our meals in the restaurant. My wife comes mainly for the lemon pie; which she always orders first and always orders a whole pie to take home. We also enjoy the other menu items; very generous portions. Service is always good; but a little rushed at breakfast.
