Lovely venue. Great food. Delightful servers. Excellent, relaxing, spoiling experience at a reasonable price.

My husband enjoys looking at and making furniture so he was in heaven here! The area was a little strung out to walk but after all it was August and the heat was on!!! We didn't try the restaurant but we did purchase a snack at the old post office. We tried the homemade brownie which was delicious! Our favorite... More

We enjoyed a Rehearsal Dinner at the West Family Cellar on the Shaker Village grounds this past weekend. The cellar itself was charming to walk through and to eat our delicious dinner. It was served buffet style and we had homemade rolls and cornbread, country ham, fried chicken, corn pudding and green beans. The corn pudding was my favorite for... More

After visiting the Shaker Village, we had made a reservation for lunch at 12.30pm. It was very busy but we were shown to our table and welcomed by the waitress. An excellent choice of food was on offer varying in price, also a good selection of drinks. Service was good as was the food. There was a pleasant atmosphere in... More

We ate here with friends; each of us eating something different. I am not sure why, but the food tasted so fresh and vibrant...locally grown I imagine. Service in a period building at Shaker Village was charming. Entrees are served individually and sides are served family style. We tasted and shared and everything was delicious. My husband said his ham... More

My kids, age 15 and 9 went here for a 'day-cation' to explore someplace new this summer. We were so surprised and loved it. Its over 3000 acres and is beautiful. You feel so far removed from civilization. There is a farm you can explore with all sorts of things growing as well as animals the kids can pet. There... More

Really liked the feel of the place. Not much here to not like. Plan to spend the night and enjoy the food. You'll be glad you did. Relaxing and laid back. Enjoyable.

Happened to visit on one of the days that an antique sale and auction was going on. This did not affect our visit at all, except that the parking was a little more difficult.

We were surprised to find the village open on New Year's Day and decided to try lunch, which that day included entry to the exhibits. However, we were eating rather late and had to rush to get to some exhibits afterward. The special menu had wonderful choices, several from the period, and the service was impeccable. It would be nice... More

I have been to Shakertown several times before during a previous job where I had to plan events, but I haven't been for leisure! I made a reservation for lunch for my mom and myself on Saturday. The grounds were beautiful, the staff were super helpful and nice! I'm glad we made reservations too, because the resturant filled up rather... More
