We have supported Shaker Village and it's restaurant for over 35 years. The restaurant has recently gone through many changes. However, last night it was as though the old restaurant was back and the food was much improved! The meal began with the traditional homemade yeast rolls and cornbread sticks, and a relish bowl. Our party enjoyed delicious fried chicken... More

Three of us ate there for lunch. Not our first visit. The food was below in quality of what I would expect from any restaurant, let alone a place like this. Two of us had gastro problems within an hour. I was surprised at how the presentation was better than the taste and texture. The service was great however.

The restaurant at Shaker Village near Harrodsburg, KY is a busy place. As the only restaurant on site (and maybe in the area) their reservations fill up quickly. We arrived late morning and immediately made lunch reservations. The food was very good. Our waitress seemed busy, maybe a little overloaded. But she was polite and provided good service. If you... We stayed overnight at the Village and so were able to eat breakfast lunch and dinner at the Trustees' Dining Room. Wonderful historic atmosphere, and the food is very good. Breakfast is a buffet with wonderful biscuits and creamy gravy, along with eggs, bacon, sausages, etc. There was a delicious pumpkin spice muffin that we all loved. The lunch salads... More

Read the reviews here, and really wanted to try. Excellent on all accounts. The restaurant is house in a historic structure, lovingly restored, in the middle of a recreated Shaker community museum. You can eat there without doing the museum thing. The colonial/shaker style design is featured throughout, and it does feel like very authentic time travel dining, except the... More

The food at the Inn at Shaker Village at Pleasant Hill, Kentucky is quite good and the servings are large. The meals are simple, fresh, basic, and very good though not outstanding. But isn’t that what Shakers are all about? The Inn is more than a restaurant. It’s part of a Shaker Village preservation effort. If it was only a... More

We stayed over night and really found the surroundings very peaceful and relaxing. Our dinner was just okay, not bad but not great. Breakfast was buffet and it had a very wide variety and tasted very good. I have eaten here in the past but it was usually lunch which was always good. The atmosphere is so good that I... More

We ate dinner here on 4-3-13. I had country ham, which was the special of the night and my wife had the pork loin. She said hers was very good. Mine was fine, but not any better than you get at Cracker Barrel for half the price. They served us very good rolls and corn brean, as well as a... More
