Charming and delicious

There are many dishes based on old Shaker recipes using local farmers. It's all delicious and the wait staff is super friendly.

Impeccable service, fresh -- local grown and delicious! Incredible atmosphere and surroundings. We had lunch on the porch - sat at a Shaker table, and chairs and stepped back into history.

Nice dinner. Not better than an average restaurant. The bowl of relishes was enjoyable prior to dinner. Rolls were really good. Not much chicken in pot pie. Breakfast buffet was average. Fruit would have been nice.

Our trip started here with lunch in the hallway and the food was very good. We purchased tickets here for the village after looking around the building we spent the next two hours going around the village. This building was nice but it was their restaurant and hotell so we did not get to see much of the building.

Do it! In the area for a long weekend with my wife. We visited the Shaker Village and ate at the Trustee's Office for lunch. Reservations are recommended which we had. My wife had the Northern Brethren Salad that she really enjoyed, I had the Breaded Pork Tenderloin with home style green beans and mashed potatoes very good done in... More

Very nicely decorated in the Shaker period. We had the catfish that was very good along with three sides. You will not walk away hungry

The main dining room at the Shaker Village at Pleasant Hill, outside Harrodsburg, Kentucky, remains an inviting place to eat. Service is fine. However, a change in the menu has resulted in the obliteration of almost all dishes one would associate with the Shakers,Kentucky and the South. Gone is the delightful -- and light -- three-salad plate. A recent visit... More

We ate dinner and buffet breakfast when spending a night at Shaker Village. Both were served in the historic main building which is well worth seeing even if you are not staying or eating. But if you visit at mealtime, it is a good idea to have reservations if possible. I tried the chicken breast which was flavorful on its... More

We eat in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast the next morning when we spend a night for many of our anniversaries. This time again, we enjoyed the food. They have expanded the menu to items that were not all found in Shaker food. The food was excellent at each meal. They have a menu to choose from at night... More

While staying in the Village, we ate two dinners and one breakfast. We really enjoyed our first dinner and the sides that went with it were very good. When we ate there again the next night, the menu was exactly the same...and since we had ordered our favorites the night before, we were kind of stuck especially since they had... More
