Very nicely decorated in the Shaker period. We had the catfish that was very good along with three sides. You will not walk away hungry

The main dining room at the Shaker Village at Pleasant Hill, outside Harrodsburg, Kentucky, remains an inviting place to eat. Service is fine. However, a change in the menu has resulted in the obliteration of almost all dishes one would associate with the Shakers,Kentucky and the South. Gone is the delightful -- and light -- three-salad plate. A recent visit... More

We ate dinner and buffet breakfast when spending a night at Shaker Village. Both were served in the historic main building which is well worth seeing even if you are not staying or eating. But if you visit at mealtime, it is a good idea to have reservations if possible. I tried the chicken breast which was flavorful on its... More

We eat in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast the next morning when we spend a night for many of our anniversaries. This time again, we enjoyed the food. They have expanded the menu to items that were not all found in Shaker food. The food was excellent at each meal. They have a menu to choose from at night... More

While staying in the Village, we ate two dinners and one breakfast. We really enjoyed our first dinner and the sides that went with it were very good. When we ate there again the next night, the menu was exactly the same...and since we had ordered our favorites the night before, we were kind of stuck especially since they had... More

The best appetiser there is: Hard boiled egg in aspic on anchovy buttered toast! Yummm! The country ham and friend chicken are also excellent and the Shaker Lemon Pie (with leon peel) is also worth the trip though I forgot to order mine a la mode!!!

Wonderful meal – we dined for lunch and liked it so well we came back for dinner which was also fantastic. Most of the food is locally produced so the menu does vary. Good food and plenty to satisfy. We tried to save room for dessert (which looked incredible) but so enjoyed the bounty of the meal that the elastic... More

The food was fresh, well-cooked and delicious. Service was excellent. It was nice to have a menu that was a little different from the usual offerings.

We were staying at the Inn and had the breakfast buffet which was very good but I would give it 4 stars probably as it is not really much more than every other buffet you see (except the awesome grits). W also had lunch and it was amazing!! Fresh tomatoes and cucumbers brought right out, delicious bread and ridiculously good... More

we ate here on Mother's Day and really enjoyed the large bowl of veggies that come with every meal, as well as the light as air corn pudding. The Shaker lemon pie was the perfect ending to a delicious dinner.
