They are famous for a giant pork chop and pies with huge meringues (although largely filler, it tastes like to me - cool whip?). But the food needs a refresher course on liveliness. The Kentucky hot brown is just not good. Chicken dishes that are dry and overcooked are not recommended. We used to come here often, but any more,... More

Love the great food, fun décor, great shopping and the fabulous gazebo out back.... Then for added fun, before or after eating, check out their neighbor, Badgett Playhouse for entertainment.

This is a one-of-a kind place that is well worth the short drive from the interstate. Great and unique food, comfortable and well decorated. You can order a meal which is more than anyone should eat or a sandwich as we did which is plenty. Everything is seasoned expertly and the sides(house-made potato chips and slaw) were excellent as well.... More

Everything was delicious from the hamburger soup (who knew?), 1" thick pork chop with sauce, flower pot bread and to the baked potato! Personally,I didn't care for the strawberry butter but my fiancee did. Luckily we shared the entree because there's no way we could have eaten it all by ourselves. The server was super friendly and polite and the... More

We stop here twice a year. Once in the late fall going down to Florida and once coming home in the spring. It has become a tradition. You can't find a better tasting 2+" pork chop. And finish it off with a piece of 8" meringue cream pie.

I remembered this restaurant from when I was a kid. My family visited with friends in the late 80's and I remembered the flower pot bread, so it was a must stop on my way to Nashville. The bread was a good as I remembered! And of course we filled up before our food arrived on the appetizer, bread, and... More
