Cuisines: American
Dining options: Reservations
Description: month. The old house has been renovated and is just lovely for an upscale dinner at a reasonable price point. Entrees are served with a choice of soup, salad or sweet and range from $15 - $20. Appetizers range from $5. - $9. We had the crab cakes to start - the sauce was lovely but the crab cake was on the cold side. The Bourbon Barrel Salmon was outstanding but my lamb special was served less than warm, a overdone for my liking - when speaking with the server, she went back to the kitchen and I was told this was the last of the lamb needed more au jus or some mint sauce to complement. Upon request for mint sauce they brought out the chefs homemade special steak sauce. It was wonderful! It went well with the roasted lamb. The roasted vegetables were delicious albeit just warm.

The environment (1840's home), the staff (all are attentive though never obnoxious; Troy is a talented waiter), and of course the food (lovingly designed and crafted by a gifted chef/owner Chef Rodney) make this one of my all-time top pick. As a vegetarian who travels extensively I have become accustomed to beautiful though tasteless meals from award-winning chefs. This was... More

no way, dont people spend high dollars for food anymore, must we give away money we worked for for artistic nonsense and bad attempots at what is called food, steak well done, ordered rare, tea was bad, some simple syrup crap added, carrot cake was all any thing but carrot cake, 50 bucks a person, no way, waitresss cleans up,... We just ate at Rodney's tonight on our way to the 127 Sale. I'm so glad we checked the reviews and found this gem. The restaurant is located in a beautiful old home that is lovingly maintained. The location alone would be worth a dinner, but the food is excellent. I had the salmon with kale and mushrooms as my... More

From the moment you arrive, you are greeted promptly by the staff...The decor is so welcoming..I am a Chef and was blown away by my perfectly prepared steak, that melted in my mouth...I care less for brussel sprouts and ate every single one..Still wondering how the Chef prepared them...No matter where my travels may take me,I will find my may back to... What a smashing opportunity to dine in this historical Southern town. I read about Rodney's on Broadway in Southern Living magazine. I've also seen Chef Rod on the TV show, Secrets of Bluegrass Chef's. Hands down the most superb goat cheese salad and asparagus soup I've ever had in my life. Outstanding service and overall a quality gem in the... More

Any time you are in the Bluegrass region of Kentucky, do not miss the opportunity to visit Rodney's on Broadway. Located about twelve miles north of Lexington in Georgetown, they offer world class dining with a touch of southern hospitality mixed in. The Grouper Picatta is one of the best fish plates I have ever tasted and the warmed goat... More

Our meal began with homemade french bread and a basil/olive oil/vinegar/garlic/Parmesan cheese slivers for dunking (it was the best ever!) And I normally find the whole dunking the bread stuff bland and tasteless, but not this! I had the BUTCHERS CUT RIBEYE (8oz) Ribeye tenders grilled to order and topped with our Kentucky grown blend of wild mushrooms that are... More

I expected more from Rodney's than I got. What I got was more in the cost than in the food. I ordered the duck. It was dry and tasteless served on common jam with a fancy name. My friend ordered Chef's choice, vegetarian dinner. It was a few sides put on one plate. Nothing original or delectable there. The wine... More

I am sorry to hear that your experience at Rodney's was not to your satisfaction. It is our goal always to provide each guest with an excellent experience in our home. To clarify for you, the duck is topped not with jam, but with a port wine reduction sauce that is made to order. As stated in our menu, the... More

We recently had dinner and drinks. The service was superb, even though she had just moved from FL, she was very informative. Our entrees were filet, shrimp and scallops, and the Cuban pork. Coming from S FL, I thought the pork seasoning bland. My brussels sprouts were bitter. They should be cut in half before cooking to acquire more taste. The broccoli was... More
