month. The old house has been renovated and is just lovely for an upscale dinner at a reasonable price point. Entrees are served with a choice of soup, salad or sweet and range from $15 - $20. Appetizers range from $5. - $9. We had the crab cakes to start - the sauce was lovely but the crab cake was on the cold side. The Bourbon Barrel Salmon was outstanding but my lamb special was served less than warm, a overdone for my liking - when speaking with the server, she went back to the kitchen and I was told this was the last of the lamb needed more au jus or some mint sauce to complement. Upon request for mint sauce they brought out the chefs homemade special steak sauce. It was wonderful! It went well with the roasted lamb. The roasted vegetables were delicious albeit just warm.

An unexpected treasure

I'd had a good day and was looking to top it off with a great meal. I always attempt to seek out local eateries as I travel through my sales territory. Rodney's came highly recommended by the hotel staff and it didn't disappoint. It's been a while since I've had a steak prepared this well. The meat... read more

Rodney knows what he is doing, mostly. Crab cake + lobster appetizer A, all meat A, duck B, crispy but a bit dry, drinks and bartender A+, home made cobbler A++, $60 Cabernet served right out of the cooler, not professional. We were having a good time, so we accepted it as it was, but a quality red wine (Conn... More

There are literally no words sufficient to describe the quality of the dining experience you will have at this restaurant. Not only does the chef (and the entire kitchen team) make everything with honest to goodness love but they are inexplicably good at doing it. The lamb chops are incredible. The "seahorses" appetizer is "to die for". Craft cocktails are... More

Forget Lexington! When you're in Central Kentucky, eat at Rodney's. Better yet, make it a point to drive to Central Kentucky just to eat at Rodney's! It may look odd from the outside but inside it is cozy and hospitable, from the bar area to the tables. At the entrance we were greeted like we were regulars; the wait staff... More

We had spent the day at the horse park and were looking for a nice meal to end the day. We were so disappointed with the options (truck stops, pizza places, Cracker Barrel) UNTIL WE FOUND RODNEY'S. What a charming restaurant in a large old home in the beautiful town of Georgetown. Although the restaurant had closed, Rodney welcomed us... More

The restaurant is nice inside. There was nothing breath taking about the atmosphere! We were welcomed by the chefs wife who was very pleasant and glad we were there. We ordered the shrimp cocktail which had a wonderful sweet cocktail sauce as an appetizer. The shrimp were just extra large shrimp not prepared any way special. My entree was the... More

I didn't expect to find one of the best restaurants ever in Georgetown, KY. Wow! I put them on the same level as St. Elmo's in Indianapolis. From Tokyo to Jackson Hole, to Chicago to New York, Kauai to Bermuda. This is one of the 3 best in my travels of the world! Food was fantastic and was dining alone... More

We are relatively well traveled, We really didn't expect to find one of the best restaurants in Georgetown. We'll go out of our way in the future to visit this gem in Bluegrass country.

When I first called I was told that they were completely booked. I tried again when we got to town and we were in luck. I can see why they are popular. The atmosphere was charming-in a converted old house. We ordered the warm goat cheese salad that was delicious. The blackened salmon was perfectly prepared and very tasty. Good... More

Moved back to the Bluegrass a year ago and eat at Rodney's every week we are in town. The duck, steaks and off menu items (e.g. smoked salmon fettuccini rival anywhere in the world. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I recommend to all our out of town friends and family. Dr. M and Kelly
