not bad but not great

croissants were excellent; steak left a lot to be desired. Looks pretty run down and worn but I'd eat here again truth be told. I've eaten at much worse.

This is not really a steakhouse in the classic sense of the term. I am not really sure how to describe it. Perhaps a small cut above a burger joint...but only because the salad was tasty. My steakburger wasn't even any good. Next time I'll cross the highway and try a different place...couldn't be any worse.

Stopped in while on-the-road heading North. I had the Steak "Special," while the wife had the chicken - both were very good. Service great and drinks cold.

My boyfriend and I went here looking for a good steak dinner, wait staff was a bit slow and seemed unorganized. We ordered the rib eye medium rare. The steak came out well done, it was hard to cut it with a knife so we sent them back and decided to just have them to go. Steaks were definitely rare... More

We've driven by this steak house many times and never stopped in, and last night we wanted to try a place we've never been before, so we stopped by the Franklin Steak House. Admittedly, we hesitated before walking in, because it looks like an old Huddle House or Waffle House, but in the spirit of adventure, we decided to give... More

My husband's steak was the worst thing I have ever seen. I imagine it was a frozen T-bone and flash grilled 20 seconds on each side. I could go on about the filth..just do not go. On the bright side we got our horrible food super fast, and our server was nice.

The saying you get what you pay for is right on point. Tbone and prime rib for 10.50 sounds like a great price, but the food leaves you feeling a lot of indigestion. The place is more like an old diner with very sticky menus. I personally will never eat there again.

My daughter, son-in-law and myself chose Franklin Steak House to eat lunch today. We ordered the Ribeye Silver steak, salad and baked potato. When we got our food, the steak was cold and wasn't cooked the way we ordered it.We all ordered it medium rare, we got it cold and well done. The potato's were cold and smelled of warmed... More

This is a very small restaurant that specialize in steaks. I had a very nice piece of prime rib. The cost is very reasonable. It also in walking distance from several hotels. When I was there the restaurant was doing a brisk business so setting can be limited.

A family has converted a former Waffle House into a steak diner. The setting is not elaborate, and yes you can hear them tenderizing the steaks from where you sit in the dining area. But the service is good, and it is best filet you can get, ANYWHERE for under $20. I always eat there when in Franklin.
