I had read fantastic reviews and we decided to stop in for Sunday brunch a couple of weeks ago. We have not lived in Kentucky for long, so we didn't realize that restaurants couldn't serve alcohol until after 11am on Sundays. Not their fault, but we were hoping for Mimosas with our brunch. We were amongst the first guests at... More

I recently ate here alone for an early dinner. If you aren't from this area, finding the parking lot can be tricky (the entrance is at the corner of Buttermilk and Dixie). I also I didn't like that I had to walk thru the coat closet 'to reduce cold blasts' to the restaurant as I feel it invites theft. I... More

Recommended by a friend, had Sunday brunch there today. Loved the homey atmosphere & the food was great! The pork loin, fried chicken, house salad & bread pudding were the highlights but everything was pleasing....look forward to another visit.

Always enjoy going to have dinner here. Best cod and fried chicken anywhere. But there are also other great meals.

The menu provides a wide range to please everyone from Grandpa to the "foodie" of the family. Lovely during the holidays, pleasant and comfortable at all times. And don't miss the hot slaw!

While in the area on business I was referred by an associate who had previously eaten at The Greyhound Tavern. Upon discovering Monday evening was their Family-Style Fried Chicken special there was no need to read further on the menu. If you have ever been to Zehnder's of Frankenmuth Restaurant you will think you've been transported there from Ft. Mitchell... More

This visit was for a late lunch and our main meal of the day. We have eaten at Greyhound many times over previous years and have always found it to reliably provide good food and service. That experience was continued in this visit. Since we were later than usual lunch crowd, the restaurant was uncrowded. Our server was attentive but... More

The Greyhound Tavern is a neighborhood gem with a rich history. I love to eat lunch at the bar on a Saturday afternoon and talk with the regulars. The food is definitely well above average, and the atmosphere is friendly and inviting with a lot of history and character!

Love the fried chicken and HUGE onion rings. Service can be iffy - sometimes "regulars" are more catered to than those "transients." Servers can be very social with regulars while providing service to others. As long as the food comes hot and requests are filled in a timely manner, who cares. The food is worth it.
