HISTORIC AND COMMFORTABLE

The building itself dates back to the early 1900's and gives an old southern atmosphere inside too. The food is excellent and menu varied for all tastes. Be sure to try the onion rings!!! The best you may ever eat! Huge, light and crispy. Be aware, Saturday night dinners need a reservation. That's... read more

We moved to the Cincinnati area five years ago and found this up near the airport. Don't be turned off by the "tavern" in their name! It is a very warm and inviting restaurant! We usually eat there on our way to or from the airport. We just discovered the Sunday brunch last month and just went again today. Their... More

This is not a pretentious restaurant but from the fullness of the parking lot you know that it is something special. We took a day trip to the northern Kentucky area recently with friends and stopped in for our first time. What a treat. The beer cheese and pretzel roll appetizer could have been my meal. I will say that... More

Broad range of well done food options. Bean soup, & taco salad, to fish and steak. All very good. Get reservations on weekends. Saturday breakfast is a great start.

We like to here early with the early bird diners. It's still crowded but not as long a line. The fried chicken and onion rings are the best ever. It's a great local eating establishment so there is a lot of table greeting going on and sometimes you have to pry the waitress away from a table of "regulars" to... More

The greyhound Tavern has been putting out great comfort food for a long long time. The fried chicken, Awesome, Fried Walleye is also awesome, they have a great slaw, and everything is home made and fresh. I could eat here every day. Once you go you will go back for sure. Go early as they get busy, Lunch is also... More

I had read fantastic reviews and we decided to stop in for Sunday brunch a couple of weeks ago. We have not lived in Kentucky for long, so we didn't realize that restaurants couldn't serve alcohol until after 11am on Sundays. Not their fault, but we were hoping for Mimosas with our brunch. We were amongst the first guests at... More

I recently ate here alone for an early dinner. If you aren't from this area, finding the parking lot can be tricky (the entrance is at the corner of Buttermilk and Dixie). I also I didn't like that I had to walk thru the coat closet 'to reduce cold blasts' to the restaurant as I feel it invites theft. I... More

Recommended by a friend, had Sunday brunch there today. Loved the homey atmosphere & the food was great! The pork loin, fried chicken, house salad & bread pudding were the highlights but everything was pleasing....look forward to another visit.
