Great food, good attentive service but found hair in main course. Compensated by free drinks but not the point really Unfortunate incident but affected my rating Just one point, dont sit near the windows on a cold winters evening as they can be a bit drafty
Strange review, posted 11 months after an alleged visit. Strange that neither myself, Elliott or Chris, the only people who provide front of house contact, can recollect any such incident or providing free drinks to anyone during our five years at The Mill, also strange that all of our windows are fully double glazed and have large radiators directly under... The help out mill is a family run restaurant you have your table all evening there is no one rushing you off the food is out of this world all home cooked and fresh there is a log fire in winter and the restaurant itself is cosy and warm. Everyone that works here is friendly and lovely always up for... More
Like the previous review we didn't know what to expect - we were certainly not disappointed. We were entertained by the fabulous cast & time flew by with all the antics. The event and large group did not affect the quality of hosting or food. Who needs to go to London when we had an amazing night 1 mile from... More
Didn't know quite what to expect, but what a fantastic evening! Basil, Sybil and Manuel entertained us for two hours of comedy I haven't laughed so much for ages. As usual the food was good and we were well looked after by Peter and Elliot. I don't know how they can follow this superb evening
Unique setting which is a massive relief in this day and age with same old establishments, same old menu's. Be prepared for a fabulous night out in cosy atmosphere, relaxed family run restaurant. Excellent food to boot. Book it today.
This is one of our favourite restaurants in the area. The ambiance and setting of the old Mill House is superb.A bit hard to find but the drive across the field, parking and walking over the Mill stream to the the restaurant itself which has a stunning interior with beautiful beams and cathedral ceiling is all part of this wonderful dinning... A quaint family run restaurant deep in the heart of the Leicestershire countryside - a real gem! Peter is a welcoming host and wife, Cheryl, a marvellous cook; the waitress was a delight. We went as a family of four: nana, grandad, myself and six year old and although I wouldn't recommend the restaurant as a place for children a... More
