We meant to try this restaurant for months and finally got around to doing so. The food was great and well priced. The only downside was the seemingly absent minded wait staff. Ordering was a disjointed process with many repeats following the first attempt. Refills seemed hard to come by as well. They implemented a new payment method which causes... More

We went today for brunch, and it is a cute spot. The breakfast food was good, but the service was not only incredibly slow (15 min. waiting for drinks, over 30 min. for food but missing an entree, 20 min. to get check and hot chocolate), but a little on the rude side. I wouldn't go back, though the food/atmosphere... More

This eatery opened in 2004 in a structure built in 1878, well built I would say. Small menu highlighted by breakfast items. Lunch offerings are meager. My server today was brand new and knew nothing about the menu. My fish sandwich was overcooked, but palatable, as were the onion rings. I may go back to try breakfast.

After traveling from Virgina to Michigan and on my way to Nashville and driving all night I was hungry! I decided to try and find me a restaurant in Elizabethtown, KY from some Kentucky Hot Browns and I was aiming for the Back Home Restaurant, but I found that they didn't open unitl 11am and it was about 9am so... In E-town doing genealogy research and stopped here for lunch. Nearby to county office buildings. Quaint interior. Friendly service. Tasty burger in pretzel bun. Homemade vegetable soup contained ground beef and was good. Would come back.

My dad, who has worked downtown for years, swears by this place. My wife loves soups and they have plenty to choose from. Have never been for breakfast though. But I hardly eat breakfast out unless I'm on the run or on vacation. Usually it's at the house. I've only been once or twice, but liked it. Plan on going... More

Was hoping that this place would be great, since it's located in downtown Elizabethtown and and the location could use all the business it could muster. The restaurant is cute, super small but very quaint and nicely decorated. When we ordered, they proceeded to tell us they were out of several things (including french fries - it was 11:30 in... Hungry, want a meal or snack then you are at the right spot! Small restaurant with big taste. I like to have a cup of coffee and brunch. The food is very good and satisfying.

My husband and I stopped here on our way home from Florida. It is a really cute little place, and it serves a very good lunch. I had a BLT which was just perfect. Good bacon and a light coating of mayo on the bread, just the way I like it. We also had the fresh strawberry pie, which had... More

Quaint little cafe converted from an old shoe cobbler place of business. Although I agree this is a nice little cafe, I wasn't impressed with the service or food and didn't feel it was worth our detour. The young lady that waited on us was very nice and the menu offered many inexpensive choices but we spent an hour (or... More
