Pleasantly surprised

My wife and I recently dined here on valentines day. We live in Nashville but were on a weekend getaway in bourbon country. We had booked a room I'm E-Town with the intent of having valentines dinner at the woodford reserve distillery but they sold out pretty early and we had to change plans. Long... read more

I was staying at a nearby hotel and wanted a non chain restaurant. There were several choices but this time lace rise to the top for good reason. The place is very large and nicely decorated. I opted for the portobello filet with blue cheese. All meals come with soup and salad bar and choice of one side. The steak... More

We travel in this area every year or two and always plan our trip to include this restaurant. We have never been disappointed, and this trip was no exception. Danny, our waiter, was excellent. The soup and salad bar is excellent. We had escargot, delicious, and prime rib and the filet, also perfect. We love the atmosphere, the helpfulness and... More

My husband and I were headed back from the Kentucky Derby, and we wanted to end our "date day" nicely. We saw this place on google and decided to give it a go. So glad we did. Our server, Danny, was very friendly and quite attentive to our needs. He never missed a beat. The salad bar had many options,... More

These people are amazing! The food is great. Steaks. Escargot. Wine. Yum!! Lovely atmosphere. The service is over the top, too. Went back just to see if it was fluke and they welcomed us back like we were coming home. Remembered our names and our favorite wine. Best place I've ever eaten. Will come back to the Derby just to... More

Nice surprise, great strip steak, baked potato and a big salad bar all for under $20, I do not frequent chains so when I found this place just off 65 , I was delighted with the results, ask for Danny and you will get 5 star service, steaks are cooked over wood and the first bite verified that. Large menu... More

This is the closest thing to "fine dining" Elizabethtown has to offer but I personally think this place is overated and quite pricey. The Sunday buffet is ample, but aside from the salad bar desert bars which are quite good, the rest of the food is somewhat lacking in quality and much of it tastes "canned" or "instant". The atmosphere... More

We have been eating at the Stone Hearth for years. Had brunch there today with five other family members that traveled for over an hour to get there to meet us, and have never been to the Stone Hearth before. We all agreed it was wonderful. In fact, my mother even said it's the first buffet that she had ever... More

If you're a stranger stopping in Elizabethtown for the night, Stone Hearth deserves to be your dining destination. Locally owned, a taste of home cooking as it should be (--but often is not). Comfortable ambience, superb service, reasonable prices. Clearly this is a place the locals come to, even on a weekday night. The excellent French onion soup was home... More

Me and my wife ate here for dinner. I first must say that it wasn't busy. We received horrible service and the food wasn't that great. I can't believe how me and my wife were treated. It looked as if the customers in suits received excellent service. My money spends just the same. Never again will we be back. Simply... More
