Description: Welcome to Texas Outlaw BBQ, judged America's GREATEST RIBS and Barbecue...
Welcome to Texas Outlaw BBQ, judged America's GREATEST RIBS and Barbecue all over the nation. Our restaurant in Elizabethtown, KY is a reflection of our storied National Competition BBQ Cooking Team, which has been competing all over North America for decades winning over 300 national awards to date. Each year, we serve up well over a quarter-million pounds of BBQ from coast-to-coast. We started in Houston, TX and our restaurant has been operating in Elizabethtown, KY for the past 15 years. We use our same seasoning and slow-smoking style that has given us the award-winning flavors you are about to experience in our award-winning ribs, beef brisket, pulled pork, turkey and chicken. We are REAL TEXAS BBQ with the authentic pink smoke ring in the meat created by our spices and 6-13 hours smoking our meats low-and-slow. The smoke ring means you're getting real hickory wood smoked BBQ, not some white, mushy, boiled, broiled or baked meat. We didn't earn the title of GREATEST RIBS IN AMERICA or LEGENDS OF BBQ by serving anything but quality meat, spiced and slow-smoked in the best made smokers in the world. You can be assured you will never eat pre-cooked, frozen or microwaved meat at TEXAS OUTLAW BBQ. Our smokers operate 24 hours/day, around the clock and if we don't sell it tonight we throw it away tonight. So as my grandmother always said, "The proofs in the pudding". So sit back, relax and enjoy your meal. We hope to see you soon!

Close

The restaurant was very close, walking distance, to our hotel so the location was excellent. The food was surprisingly good for a chain restaurant. Wife and I both had the 8 oz. sirloin which was cooked as ordered and flavorful. Sides were tasty and a nice size portion. Service was excellent.

The food is good, the prices are okay and they pretty much have something for everyone. If it weren't for the snarky waitress we usually seem to get stuck with, who acts like we're a bother every time we go, it would be a wonderful restaurant.

Very convenient to the interstate, we stopped here during our cross-country trip. This place is within a cluster of hotels and restaurants. It was 4:00 pm when we stopped. We tried to get into 2 other places but found the wait time was so long. Then we spotted this place just a little further back from the group, in fact... More

When we get south we're always looking for good BBQ. My husband and son got there first and their meals were okay. I came a little later after shopping and ordered brisket, mac and cheese and sweet potatoes. When my order came out I thought they brought out someone else's. It looked like pulled pork but the waitress assured me... More

The food was good and the service was OK. The other "Texas" steakhouse that we frequent has peanut snacks and yeast rolls - both were missing here. However, it was right next door and a short walk from our motel - that makes it an acceptable place to eat when on the road.

I had the opportunity to eat at Texas Outlaw Barbecue twice in the past month. TOB is conveniently located in a hotel/dining zone just off of I-65 and the Blue Grass Parkway in Elizabethtown, KY. My wife and I first dined there in October, and then on a return trip, I dined there solo in November. During both visits, I... More

This is a locally owned restaurant that has won many awards for it's BBQ. It has a great bar with an extensive liquor and beer selection. While it may look like a standard steakhouse type restaurant, the food is decidedly better. At our table we had ribs, wings and salmon. All were excellent.

Our family ate here because the restaurant was within walking distance of our hotel and discount coupons were available. The service was okay but not great and the food was mediocre. Certainly not even of the same quality as steakhouse chains such as Texas Roadhouse or Longhorn.

This place has won awards for its barbecue and for good reason. The ribs are fall off the bone and you get a lot of meat on them!

I tried this one over Texas Roadhouse because they didn't appear nearly as crowded. Food was just okay...nothing special. Service was good and waitress pleasant.
