Description: Welcome to Texas Outlaw BBQ, judged America's GREATEST RIBS and Barbecue...
Welcome to Texas Outlaw BBQ, judged America's GREATEST RIBS and Barbecue all over the nation. Our restaurant in Elizabethtown, KY is a reflection of our storied National Competition BBQ Cooking Team, which has been competing all over North America for decades winning over 300 national awards to date. Each year, we serve up well over a quarter-million pounds of BBQ from coast-to-coast. We started in Houston, TX and our restaurant has been operating in Elizabethtown, KY for the past 15 years. We use our same seasoning and slow-smoking style that has given us the award-winning flavors you are about to experience in our award-winning ribs, beef brisket, pulled pork, turkey and chicken. We are REAL TEXAS BBQ with the authentic pink smoke ring in the meat created by our spices and 6-13 hours smoking our meats low-and-slow. The smoke ring means you're getting real hickory wood smoked BBQ, not some white, mushy, boiled, broiled or baked meat. We didn't earn the title of GREATEST RIBS IN AMERICA or LEGENDS OF BBQ by serving anything but quality meat, spiced and slow-smoked in the best made smokers in the world. You can be assured you will never eat pre-cooked, frozen or microwaved meat at TEXAS OUTLAW BBQ. Our smokers operate 24 hours/day, around the clock and if we don't sell it tonight we throw it away tonight. So as my grandmother always said, "The proofs in the pudding". So sit back, relax and enjoy your meal. We hope to see you soon!

Good BBQ and excellent service

I saw an article in the local paper about the owner winning BBQ competitions, so we gave the place a try. My wife had the pork BBQ sandwich and I had one of the combo BBQ meals. Mine also included 2 sides so I tried their BBQ beans and one of the others. We both really enjoyed our meals.. The... read more

Ordered ribs and brisket with baked sweet potato at the rail. Brisket was especially good. Ribs so so. Fast service and friendly. Lots of bourbon options as well. Recommended.

We were staying at a hotel across the street from this restaurant, and we received a 10% discount on our food by showing our key card. The menu had a nice selection of platters which included 2 sides, and I chose an assortment of ribs, pulled chicken, brisket and pork. All of the meats were delicious. They all had sauce... More

Thanks so much Kristine! We are grateful for you kind review. Sorry about the slower kitchen service. So much of our menu is made fresh that sometimes it slows things down a bit. Nonetheless, we are always striving toward improving our service times and look forward to welcoming you back the next time you're through town. Your Texas Outlaw BBQ... More

Being fromTexas I expected to get sliced Brisket and they only had chopped. Now the food was great. I had baked beans, mac'n cheese. We had the fried pickles as an appetizer and banana pudding for dessert. All were good but would still like sliced not chopped. If you are winning awards for you barbecue you should be good with... The ribs here are some of the best I've ever had because they are absolutely fall-off-the-bone. The Bloomer Onion is an excellent appetizer. Service was above average for a Thursday evening. I highly recommend this restaurant. I would definitely come back here again for the ribs.

The food was merely The one heather sent earlier hasn't contacted back and it's going to voicemail okay but the speed of service was terrible. My salad included an array of mushy brown lettuce. Our steaks were cooked to the correct specifications. The server was friendly but very forgetful. We had to ask multiple times for steak sauce and ketchup;... More

I went here a totally thinking this was Texas Roadhouse....when I figured out that the Roadhouse was hidden across the street I decided to stay. The Texas Outlaw isn't quite the quality, in my opinion, as the Roadhouse. My Ribeye at the Outlaw was very good, baked potatoe hot, and server Cameron was awesome. Even got my well done mushrooms... We went back a second time on a second trip because the nearby Texas Roadhouse was busy yet again. We learned out lesson and ordered burgers which are virtually imposdible to screw up. They were good, but no better thsn any other non-fast-food restaurant. The fries were nicely seasoned, and the fried pickle appetizers were just "alright". The food preparation... More
