This is a family owned, local sports bar and grill. Because we were staying at the nearby Comfort Suites, we got a 10% discount by showing our room key. After a long full day, we wanted a good, simple meal close by without dropping a lot of bucks. That's just what we got here. The hamburgers were big and delicious.... More

Mallards is a sports bar and pub place. The food is pretty simple, mostly fried, but you can order healthier salads if you like. The "bottlecaps" sliced fried jalapeno are spicy and hot! I had the chili burger which was very filling. The servers are good, and did the right thing to insist on checking everyone's ID. It's a nice... More

The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was nice, the food....not so much. As good as the chili lime tilapia sounded, it was pretty nasty. The smoked pork chop was very tender, but way too salty. As much as I don't like big chain restaurants, I wish I would've went to one this night.

We were staying in nearby Harrodsburg and decided to eat at Mallard's based on reviews. Overall a great, friendly experience. Food was good, atmosphere was inviting, and the staff was extremely pleasant. It is family owned (per the gentleman we spoke to), reasonably priced, with a variety of choices. Anyone who chooses to eat here will not be disappointed.

I found a good tilapia dish, which was enjoyable with a glass of cold Pinot Grigio. The salad was a good size, as was my side-dish of corn. There were a LOT of side dishes to choose from. My husband enjoyed his pizza, taking 3 pieces home to enjoy later. Great place to watch sports, with TV's galore. There is... More

We drove a little over an hour to eat at Mallard's which I happened to have come across on the Internet. I had been to Danville several times but had never even seen this place of business. I had hot wings which were good along with a cup of chili (day old--never served day of), which was really good. If... More

This restaurant had good and fresh food. It was walking distance from our hotel. We enjoy some good brews there.

Menu is limited, price is average, service is ok and the decor is ok. I have eaten here several times and will be back again, but it isn't on my top ten.

Surprisingly good food, and great beer selection. Kids all enjoyed their meals and so did the adults. A hidden gem!

The food is enjoyable but nothing to brag about. Service is usually slow except at peak times even with small parties. Prices are reasonable compared to other restaurants. They do have a very wide variety of things to choose from. Atmosphere is pleasant and they are always clean.
