As usual, no one from TripAdvisor really reads these reviews, but John Phillips CLOSED on September 7 and the facility remains vacant as of mid-November 2013

Made it a point to go there strictly for the sushi when visiting in Cincinnati but on last visit it was very different. Asked about the preparer and found out the previous chef had left. It was not that good. Was very disappointed. Hope they have improved because it is hard to find good sushi.

I work in a hotel near the towncenter, and John Phillips is always a ready suggestion when people ask me where a good place to eat is. I tell them about the incredible food, the incredible atmosphere, and the outstanding service. They also like the fact that there's live music every now and again. I will continue to recommend John... More

We visited on New Years Eve 2012. Megan our waitress so super sweet and attentive. Hubby ordered their Cowboy Ribeye (bone in Ribeye) meat lover that he is said it was the best steak he ever had. I ordered the lobster bisque, There were literally chunks of lobster in the the bisque. Yummy. I also ordered their special which was... More

I travel a lot around the US for business. My last trip I was near Crestview Hills, KY and decided to look at some reviews about John Phillips. They were a little mixed with the latest one really slamming the restaurant. I decided to eat there anyways as the building and outside was very clean and their were quite a... More

It seems like every time we go here, it gets better and better. Not that we are well known here, or even known at all. They always ask if we have dined with them before. Went here to relax for a nice meal after both the wife and I had hard days at work. This time we did not take... More

Wife and I go here often just to get a nice meal, since it's close to the house. Dinner and lunch. Best tip is to get there before 6PM to take advantage of the Early Bird Special. Burgers for lunch or Pork Chops or Tilapia for dinner - what ever the mood - they have you covered. Food is delicious... More

I had lunch at John Phillip's recently with a group of friends. This restaurant is in an outdoor mall, although it doesn't seem like it once you are inside. The dining room and bar area are beautiful, done up in black and e white with blue accents (overhead lights) and lots of glass. The dinner and wine menus are extensive.... More

A group of old high school friends decided to have a nice quiet dinner where we could all talk. We could not have made a better choice. The staff were vwry friendly and accommodating. They made sure that we were seated in a semi private area, not an easy task there were 10 of us. The food was so good... More

This is a locally owned restaurant. It is a great date night outing. When your steak arrives at the table, it is hot and perfectly cooked. They offer an extensive wine list and a well-stocked bar. The sushi is prepared to order and they use quality ingredients. If you enjoy good sushi, this is a hidden gem. On the weekend... More
