Just had to go back!

My first visit to this KFC took place a few years ago. There's a small "museum" which consists of replicas celebrating the original motel and restaurant. You can eat there if you wish. The food here was great and a small museum was attached. Its the original KFC so it has some character and historical value. Definitely worth going to if you're in the area.

The food was good, just like any other KFC restaurant. The service was quick. Being that you can eat in the museum part is kinda cool

This is the home of KFC, a chain that I usually avoid. But my son told me to stop here because the chicken is really better than the run of the mill KFC's. It was. This placie is a museum, sort of like the original Starbucks at the Pike Street Market in Seattle. If you are travelling I-75 in Southern... More

We loved it so much that we've taken people ( we live in Ohio) there to see it and they loved it too. My husband swears it is better that any other KFC. I don't know about all of them but it tastes better than any other that we've eaten at. Great picture ops and come on, if you grew... More

It's a good place to eat with great food, service and surroundings. It has the kitchen exhibit to look through as well as other exhibits from the original KFC. Its very interesting to visit the home kitchen of the Colonel, where it all began. Make plans to visit!!

We drove out of our way to stop here. My kids wanted to see and eat at the original KFC. The food was the same as every other KFC. Honestly the staff was some of the most unfriendly people I have encountered. I was surprised by that, I expect a little more. The artifacts were cool to look at, but... More

We arrived at noon and ordered lunch. When it finally arrived the chicken was tough. What a disappointment from the original location of KFC! We then looked around the small museum but there was not a tour guide which was surprising to say the least. There are some items in glass display cases such as china, linens and some furniture... This is where KFC originated and they have done a nice job with the restoration of the original cafe. There are great photo opportunities with statues of the Colonial. The best one is a bench on which you can sit next to the grand old man. There is a nice display of historical items including a price list that will... More

This is the first KFC that ever was. And it still is a functional KFC that make and take orders. The museum part was bit underwhelming as it appears to be a sideshow to the eating restaurant. It does have a nice tidbit of history of KFC and life and time of Harlen Sanders who received the honorary titled of... More
