Gotta have it!!

When in Corbin, be sure to stop by The Root Beer Stand. Keep in mind, it's only open during the spring/summer. Great prices and fast curb service!!

This is a hometown restaurant that's been here for years. Their Hotdogs with Chilli and their Hamburgers are awesome!! Food is consistently good and service is as well. It closes in the winter and everyone looks forward to their spring reopening to get their Rootbeer and Hotdog Fix!!! Ummm good!

Like the Dixie Cafe, the Root Beer Stand is a local icon. If you like foot long hotdogs and root beer, this the place for you. Like the Dixie, the hot dogs here are awesome.

As to why this place is always hard to get into. After managing to get into a parking space without being harassed or potentially ran over we waited almost 45 minutes for our food, though it WAS hot, and even then it wasn't something I really want to wait 45 minutes for.. honestly I can make better burger or hotdog... I was born, attended college, and visited Corbin in the summer. The rootbeer stand has always been a must visit every time. Originally an A&W..but big business changed that. Now it is "The Rootbeer Stand". Celebrated my 50th birthday..passed the tradition on to my own children. Wonderful food, wonderful people and WONDERFUL MEMORIES!

I visited this place because I had kept hearing people talk about it. My burger was average. The onion rings were straight out of a bag. The root beer was good tho.

Stopped in and had a chili dog and fries. Loved the chili!!!! I could have eaten it with a spoon, and the fries were nice and crispy. Definitely a new stop on our trips to Tennessee!

We got there at 11:30 on a Monday. Service was immediate and attentive. Our car hop was a delight! Her name was Joy and she treated you like a local, very welcoming. All the others appeared to be smiling. There is no sign, so watch for the drive-in surrounded by cars. The menu is a bit more diverse than just... More

Root beer is awesome! They offered a little taste first since this is homemade root beer. We got them as floats. Chili dogs were great and the flavor of the sauce was really good! Cheeseburgers were good too! Loved the fries and onion rings! This place is seasonal. You eat in your car. A lady comes to take your order... More
