Wish it was closer!

I found El Mazatlan when I stayed at a nearby motel in Cave City and wow! I was impressed, big time. Hot, delicious authentic Mexican dishes with reasonable prices...I wish it wasn't 4+ hours from home. I'd go weekly. Hmmm...now that I think about it though, maybe it's a GOOD thing it's 4+ hours... read more

After seeing the rating on Trip Advisor I expected a lot more. Regular Mexican restaurant decorations, noisy Mexican music, average service and okay food. I had the Taco Salad with ground beef and it was acceptable--nothing great but could have had more lettuce. It was loaded with sour cream and avocado. My son had the cheese dip and fajitas. Dip... This is a great Mexican restaurant. The margaritas were strong and cheap and the food was delicious.

The Chile relleno was delicious! The red sauce packed a punch and one chile al carte was big enough to be very filling. The fish tacos were decent my only complaint was that they could've had a little more Mexican Spice/seasoning. For the price and taste I'd come back in a heartbeat.

Great food and service. Do yourself a favor and pay $3 extra to get shrimp instead of chicken or beef. It was great! The queso blanco is very good too!

This restaurant was definitely worth the short drive from Horse Cave. The food was fresh and tasty along with the margaritas. We arrived early to ensure a table, but there was plenty of seating. Our waiter was friendly and the service quick. The offer a kid's menu too.

So I will start off by saying parking is scary. It was just my daughter and I. The area is dark and I was uncertain where the entrance was at first. You have to drive around the building. Once inside, you will see its decorated very "authentic and fun". Next, I need to warn, if you are from Chicago or... More

This restaurant was clean and the staff was nice, but the food was not good. Unable to even finish it.

We came here after a long day in the caves, it was part of the plan and we looked forward to a nice meal. This was a busy place and we had great service. I've never seen so much camo in a Mexican place! Ha! Food was very good we split quesadilla, fajitas and a pitcher of margaritas. The margarita... More

Our group of 5 had dinner after a full day at Mammoth Cave NP. We caught Happy Hour and had several bargain margaritas. All dinners ordered were different and everyone was very pleased. Service was excellent
