Great little restaurant

Our son told us about this place and we finally got a chance to visit. We had the catfish and it was really good. Friendly people there. We will be returning to try so other things that looked great coming out of the kitchen to other tables.

What a fun find! We went on a Saturday night and had the all-you-can-eat catfish for $8 per person. It was really well cooked and crispy. The 4 sides are interchangeable with numerous options. I had mac and cheese, cole slaw, fries and hushpuppies but my husband had really tasty green beans with his. They have 3 homemade pies (coconut,... More

This is a fairly little place with a good menu. It feels like a small town place should, with generous portions, and good food at a value price.

We were visiting Shaker Village and were told that the Village Inn has catfish on the weekends! We were trying to locate a hotel so we traveled on to Danville to find lodging that evening. Had kind of a difficult time finding lodging so it was getting late. We finally decided to eat at Cracker Barrel for our evening meal,... More

Ate here twice both lunch and breakfast. Great home cooking with fresh made pies. Prices are reasonable and you get your money's worth. Owner/Cook great to talk to and she is 3rd generation family owner. Building is nothing special, but neat and clean. It is located on the way to Harrington Lake and only 5 miles from Shaker Village and... More

Village Inn is one of the best kept secrets of a restaurant in the Central Kentucky area. It is Kentucky Home Cooking at it's finest. The place is a hole in the wall and not much to look at, but that is part of the charm. Everything there is good and they give you more than you can eat for... More

I've been a sporadic visitor for the Catfish Dinner on Friday nights for about the last 6 months. I learned about this great unique place a friend who lived in LEXINGTON and use to drive here just for the Catfish Dinner. The restaurant also has a frog legs dinner, and a steak platter. I love the Catfish so much, I... More

If you want good home cooking, reasonable prices and a friendly atmosphere, try The Village Inn. They also serve a huge delicious hamburger and most times fried green tomatoes are available. You can't leave hungry, that's for sure.
