It is a 3-star, but mostly because of the atmosphere - open log-beam construction and hickory smoke ambiance. I so much wanted the food to taste like the rich hickory smoke aroma that permeated the entire dining area. But I ordered the open flame hickory rotisserie chicken and steak combo - Neither was bad, but neither tasted anything like hickory... More

This has the feel of a typical chain restaurant . Our service was spotty and shared by several servers. Indifference is how it felt. Food was average. My rib eye steak had a larger than average fat component. My husband's pulled pork sandwich was large on size and average on taste. Large chunks of meat could have been better "pulled".

There are so many things to like about this restaurant. The service is great, the atmosphere is great, the food is great.....except whoever cooked our steaks the first night doesn't understand the difference between raw and medium. I'm no Gordon Ramsey, but I can use a meat thermometer and I would suggest whoever is working the grill get one. And... More

As an aging road warrior, I'm always looking a nice place I can walk to from the hotel. I like to set at the bar and order takeout and enjoy it in my room. This is not the place to go for that or perhaps for any meal. The bartender obviously isn't interested in assisting with a bar customer that... More

Very attractive inside. However, our sirloin steaks where very tough. Otherwise the experience was fun.

We had dinner here. The service was swift and friendly. We had a nice drink. The food we ordered was well prepared and was tasty. We like the idea of eating in a log cabin in the city. The staff was friendly and we had some nice talks. Ametican food with a nice twist. We enjoyed it.

Decor is Lodge style, lots of peeled logs and stone work and NO animal heads! Friendly server and well prepared steak, chicken on rotisserie delicious. The cornbread has a little zing, but not overpowering like most other places-Fan for life! This is not a chain restaurant.

After traveling for 9 hours we checked trip advisor and decided on Montana Grille for dinner. That was a mistake. Our waiter Tom did am excellent job! The issues were things he had no control over. First of all, my husband mentioned early on that it was warm in the restaurant. But, we noticed that someone was near the thermostat... More

Traveling I normally sit at the bar and get great service. Not at this place. I had to ask for a menu, after deciding what I was going to order it wasn't easy to get the bartender away from her conversations with other servers. Once order was placed it finally came out luke warm. Once again bartender was in conversation.... More

Overall, not a bad experience, but the atmosphere is more like a bar... Service was decent, but the prices are pretty outrageous for what other restaurants are available in the area. The cornbread they start you with is delicious, but other than that, I didn't see much value in what I ate. The portions are relatively small for the price... More
