An OK Place For Fine Dining in BG

Brickyard offers a nice old building downtown on Chestnut St and features a variety of steak and pasta dishes. They usually execute their food pretty well but nothing is remarkable. A solid choice for a nice meal but does not really offer anything to set it apart.

We went here for a Christmas party. Party consisted of roughly 75 people and was arranged ahead of time. They gave us 2..let me repeat..2 servers for 75 people. It took forever to get drinks, forget about refills unless you got up and wandered out to find your own. They ran out of appetizers..we had to wait 20 minutes for... More

My wife and I have eaten at the Brickyard Cafe on several previous visits to Bowling Green and we had a good experience. However, on our November 2015 trip to WKU's homecoming, the Brickyard didn't live up to our previous experiences. As usual, we made our reservation many weeks in advance of our visit. When we arrived, we were advised... More

Bread was good. Had a pizza and liked it. Salad could have been fresher. Very accommodating service and nice decor.

The food's not tasty, presented like a blue plate special place, gruff employees and owners, tables and chairs so jammed up together no room to move! Prices aren't compatible with the pedestrian offerings. Terrible wine list, but they will do corkage, but get haughty, and offended if you bring a wine you can drink. Small town place, yet parking is... More

Hostess acted like we were bothering them by wanting to wait. 7:30 pm - open until 10 table they set us up in - was a tight squeeze even though they had lots of outdoor room waiter - unattentive; food wrong; manager didn't know how to satisfy the customer. baaad customer service.

Went here with co-workers while in town for business. People were very friendly and they have a nice little outdoor seating area. Menu was descent, I tried the special which was Salmon w a chili sauce that came w rice n broccoli. Overall food was good but it took a very long time to get out food. Our waiter was... More

Im not sure what has happened here over the last couple of years but this place was once a good place to eat, but no more. Coming back to redeem a complimentary lunch from a horrible meal on Mother's Day, we didn't last long. My wife and I both ordered salads that arrived room temperature. Two bite into my wife... More

When looking for quick and pleasant and reasonable this is the place. Surprisingly good pasta. It was reasonably quiet so we could hear one another even though the crowd was young families.

We arrived for lunch just as they were closing the kitchen. The Chef and staff were very accommodating and stayed open just for us with no menu restrictions. We had a tomato based fish chowder and salad with ahi tuna that was cooked to perfection. We ate on the patio and relaxed over our glass of wine. The service was... More
