If you are looking for a healthy option, opt for a small side salad and add the chicken breast. It was so expertly cooked and seasoned that it should be prominently offered on the menu instead of as an add on to their salad choices.

Boone Tavern is legendary for good food, especially its spoon bread, and now, with a change in local alcohol laws, you can order a drink with your meal for a complete dining experience. The way historic taverns used to welcome guests. I had a nice vegetarian selection and my husband had salmon. Great choices.

This is an update to my 2012 review of Boone Tavern Restaurant. AGAIN, the 5-stars for the restaurant! We stayed the night of Nov. 6th... Homecoming Weekend! & no, we are not alumni of Berea College so we were not expecting a SURPRISE! Arrivals, check-in, registration for scores of alumni... and a huge BTH catered reception for the alums in... More

We had not visited the Boone Tavern since its renovation, and it is lovely - classy and very tastefully decorated. The buffet was good, not what I would have expected from this place, but we enjoyed ourselves. Complaint? Dry mashed potatoes, green bean casserole cooked to death, dinner rolls that I swear were right out of the Sister Schubert bag,... More

Several weeks ago on our way to Hebron for business, we decided on our next trip to stop here to eat. The day arrived and best decision, loved our 2.5 hr lunch. It was so relaxing! We arrived, seated promptly. Our server Mike, was prompt, took our drink order of water, we gave us time to ooh, ahh over the dining... More

We went out of our way because our son was with us on our way to TN a few weeks ago, and he had learned about Daniel Boone at school and really enjoyed it. We thought he would enjoy eating here, and it was not at all what we expected. We didn't realize reservations were necessary, and when we arrived,... More

This restaurant is in a lovely area of Berea. If you enjoy historic settings, interesting history, and good food, this definitely a place to check out. While you're there, be sure to set aside time to explore the lobby, visit a hotel room, and walk around downtown Berea.

(when was the last time you heard "Muzack" in a restaurant?) but an enjoyable one--I kept thinking how much my grandmother would love the place. The food was very good--interesting take on pork chops w/ tomato & parm coating which I am going to try to replicate) and TenCatMomma said her roast beef sandwich was very, very good. Side items... Unlike many "Historic" hotels/restaurants the Historic Boone is far from run down or lost in nostalgia. This impeccably run property is set in the beautiful surroundings of Berea, Ky and the equally beautiful Berea College. The staff are Berea college students who are very attentive to your needs and
