Never been disappointed

Have eaten here several times for lunch with my colleagues and have never been disappointed in the food. Some items are better than others but it is always prepared and presented very well.

Excellent traditional southern style foods with unique Spoon Bread made from corn. Unique dressings. Food prepared timely and wait staff many very attentive students from Berea College. Large portions, fresh salads, excellent Sunday buffett. Reasonable prices and comfortable for whole family 7 days a week. Easy parking and old time service. Don't miss when in the area.

This is one of those rare special places that is an absolute treat. Legendary???? Beyond legendary and the service staff is extremely personable and accommodating. Truly a memorable place and one of those future go-to destinations where we can spend more time. The food was spectacular...superb might even be a better word. You cannot go wrong here.

Our server Aaron was a true, southern gentleman whose broad smile and good manners added to a wonderfully delicious dinner meal!

If you can keep in mind that this is run by the students, you will have a really great dinner. I tried the quail as an appetizer, and it was probably the best I ever had. I was alone and amused myself and had rather a good time teaching by my server how to pronounce "Arugula" and a few other... More

I loved staying and eating at Boone Tavern, I love it when I don't have to leave a hotel to eat and I wasn't disappointed here. Food was good, plenty of it, but it is pricey. Not sure if they have a children's menu or not, but there would certainly be plenty on your plate to share with a child.... More

The dining room of the Boone Tavern is a great place for breakfast, lunch or dinner on your way North or South on Interstate 75 in Kentucky. Drive a few miles off the freeway south of Richmond and you are in the small, peaceful college town of Berea where the Boone Tavern is located and owned by Berea College. An... More

Have visited several times, and once again was not disappointed. The fried catfish was awesome. Very thick which is unusual for catfish. Be sure to try and take home their orange marmalade dressing. The students who work there are always a pleasure.

We spent a day in Berea last week and had lunch in Boone's Tavern. From the moment we walked into the Hotel and asked where the restaurant was, the level of service was phenomenal. The doorman walked us through the lobby right to the door of the restaurant. The restaurant was beautiful and was the perfect setting for a good... More

What a great, classy place! We made reservations in advance and added one more couple about two hours before our time. The host was very accommodating in making this change. The property is in an old, beautiful hotel, and the restaurant shares the ambiance. Staff was composed of young people who seemed to be Berea College students. All were were... More
