really enjoyed our lunch! also, hotel guests receive a credit toward breakfast, which is great since the hotel prices are already reasonable.

The service was quite friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Most of them were college students with a great attitude. The food was tasty. We had steak, it was prepared well but was a tad fatty. The lamb that our friend had was amazing and prepared quite well. We did not have dessert. The decor and the room is quite elegant.

My husband and I ordered from the al a carte menu and enjoyed perfect eggs and crispy, tasty bacon and wonderful biscuits, served with an assortment of homemade preserves--we both really liked the blueberry. The dining room is lovely, as is the hotel, and the service was quite nice. The student server was very cordial about answering questions about Berea... More

My husband has a vegetarian dish that was gnocchi with squash, zuchinni and served in a cream sauce. I had the scallops and coulis which was delicious! The spoon bread is also wonderful! The only slightly negative thing to say is that the entrees are pretty expensive ranging anywhere from $22 to $27.00 but we knew that coming in.

This was my first time in the south and I really enjoyed the flavors! The staff was polite and helpful in the menu selections. I was a bit surprised that the restaurant is completely dry- not even a byob policy. That said - the lemonade was refreshing!

Enjoy lamb minestrone and veggie gnocchi. Delicious. Homemade strawberry lemonade yummy!! Enjoy eating in a lovely dining area where past presidents and fist ladies dined. Cost $50 plus tip for 2. Would not recommend with small children. Great for business dinner, special dinner with (behaved) teens to experience the history, great for couples! White table cloth chandeliers. Friendly service.

Had a very good breakfast here and a very good lunch. Dinner prices are quite a bit higher. Staff was well trained and professional.

After dad retired from the Army, we ended up in Berea in 1970. At that time, the Boone Tavern kitchen was still following the recipes and exacting standards of Chef Richard T. Hougen and the restaurant was a special place to go. I remember dressing for the occasion as there was a strict dress code which required men to wear... More

I had one of the three pork selections that was the special of the night, but it looked just like a big plate of brown meat. I think a bit of parsley and tomato wedge and a carrot stick would have added a lot to the appearance. The taste was good, although it was supposed to have spinach underneath and... More

I have been here for business lunches and pleasure brunches, and I would have to say that the former was the better of the two.
