We ate here on an overnight stop in Berea. The food was really good- we had homemade carrot soup, followed by the applewood smoked pork chop with roast parsnips and beans and finished with the bread pudding. All delicious and very generous portions! The dining room is classically decorated and the waiting staff were eager to please. We only had... More

We enjoyed our meal and the service at this restaurant but the ambiance was not what we expected for a place referred to as a tavern...definitely fancier than a tavern.

We enjoyed our meal here. I had scallops and risotto; my husband had steak with fries. He loved the spoon bread; I thought it was too eggy. My salad was very good, and they were willing to substitute blue cheese for the goat cheese. They didn't have a liquor license, but I think they will soon. The service is sketchy,... More

Did not think we would have gourmet food in this little town. The dinner and breakfast were top notch. The service was a little iffy but she was giving it her best but may have been a little new to waitressing

We ate here 2 times on our visit. It is located in the historic Boone Hall Tavern and both the hotel and the restaurant are run by the students at Berea College. Our Friday night dinner had a wide selection of unique entrees. Our server Michael was excellent. Many of the herbs and vegetables are grown by other students at... More

The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Enjoyed the chicken salad croissant. Great bread pudding. Will visit again next time I'm in the area.

I visited the Boone Tavern Restaurant for breakfast on a Wednesday morning. The restaurant is beautiful, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the tavern, the town, and the college. The "Tavern Breakfast" was the kind of old fashioned Sunday morning breakfast at a very reasonable price. Two eggs (cooked to order), two biscuits, sausage gravy, 2 sausage patties or... More

I ate at the Boone tavern over the weekend on a Sunday. On Sundays they have a brunch buffet which I was not aware of. The buffet was well stocked, there was roast beef tips and gravy , mashed potatoes. They had a breaded chicken which was very nice. They had an omelet station where they can make your omelette.... really enjoyed our lunch! also, hotel guests receive a credit toward breakfast, which is great since the hotel prices are already reasonable.
