The food was wonderful and the history is amazing. Be sure you take the time to walk around and take in all the history. I absolutely loved it all.

You won't go wrong eating here. A little pricy, but you get what you pay for and the food here is fabulous. We had the baby spinach salads to start and of course, the spoon bread....yummy! Fall Apple pork chop and twisted pork chops were our entrees. We ate every bite. Staff friendly and attentive.

We stayed at the historical Boone Inn and so it was 'a must' that we try their famous restaurant. Recently the restaurant started serving beer and wine; so we began our lunch with a nice cold beer. I ordered the 'daily special' which was a light cajun Tilapia sandwich with fries and my husband had the Tuna melt with salad.... More

My family of 6 stopped here on the way home from Christmas with relatives. Of the 6 meals we ordered, the pork chop itself was edible. My flavored tea was delicious so I drank 4 glasses to fill my tummy since my food sat untouched. If you are more interested in the aesthetic appeal of your food than taste, this... More

Wonderful waitier and top notch food and service. He brought me a sample of a dish that wasn't available yet that day, since we were going to check out and head back to Tallahassee.

Please let your customers know in advance, especially when they have reservations, that the Saturday night dining will NOT be in the historic restaurant setting, but a back room with folding tables!!! Living in Fayette County, we made a special trip to treat our family to a holiday evening. The food was very good, the service was excellent, but the... More

If you are looking for a healthy option, opt for a small side salad and add the chicken breast. It was so expertly cooked and seasoned that it should be prominently offered on the menu instead of as an add on to their salad choices.

Boone Tavern is legendary for good food, especially its spoon bread, and now, with a change in local alcohol laws, you can order a drink with your meal for a complete dining experience. The way historic taverns used to welcome guests. I had a nice vegetarian selection and my husband had salmon. Great choices.

This is an update to my 2012 review of Boone Tavern Restaurant. AGAIN, the 5-stars for the restaurant! We stayed the night of Nov. 6th... Homecoming Weekend! & no, we are not alumni of Berea College so we were not expecting a SURPRISE! Arrivals, check-in, registration for scores of alumni... and a huge BTH catered reception for the alums in... More
