Haven't been to the Crab Shack in several years, so we thought it'd be nice to sit overlooking the Ohio River. Joe's has a nice deck area with picnic tables; however when we asked about happy hour specials, we were told they were only available inside at the bar. So, to the bar we went with our backs to the... More

Since my wife and I enjoy seafood, and I had recently seen a TV ad for Joe's Crab Shack, we decided to give it a try for lunch. We arrived around 11:30, were greeted and seated promptly outside with a nice view of the river. My wife had the Maui Mahi, which she enjoyed. I had the fish and shrimp... More

One of the worst dining experiences I have had in a long time. Saturday night around 7:00pm for a party of five - so I get that the wait could be long....many parties of less than four behind us kept getting seated (most of the tables in the main area seat 4) we kept waiting for over an hour. then... Wow. A trifecta of a bad experience. What has happened to quality-driven, customer-oriented, service-focused restaurants? Well, Joe's Crab Shack hit the bottom of the scale... So, our table was dirty. A glass was chipped. The wait for the main course food was close to 45 minutes. The 'hot pot' contained crab legs that smelled and tasted of pure ammonia. Then... More

We stopped in here for lunch. We were staying at the Comfort inn and it's right behind the hotel. They have boil buckets to chose from and we shared one, There is plenty for 2 and sitting outside gave us a wonderful view of the Ohio river.

The food was average...(overall) at best! The crablegs might have been OK but do not get the garluc sauce. It was disgusting and could not gwt waitresses attention to replace with drawn butter. Then she carried it around while talking to people instead of bringing it to the table. By that time the crablegs were cold. The mashed potatoes had... More

We use to love this place. But the last 2 times we went the service is bad and food not prepared right. We went on a Sunday around 2. after being seated it took 15 min. for a waiter to even acknowledge us. Got east coast platter, the crab stuffed shrimp. the crab was wasn't even on the shrimp it... My daughter had just graduated college this past Saturday, 5/17. Her wish was to go to Joe's Crab Shack on the Ohio River. We parked several blocks away, arriving at 5:00 (there was to be a Red's baseball game to start at 7:10) and were told it would be a 45 mintute wait before we could be seated. We sat... More

4 of us met here for a nice dinner, drinks and gab. Our waiter was accommodating and the view was so beautiful of the Cincinnati skyline. We all had something different, wish I would have stuck with my first choice which was the steam pot of crab, but the deep fried won out. Nothing special there. The $2 drink was... More

Staying across the street at Comfort Inn, we decided to have an early dinner at Joes around 430. The place was only about 1/4 full and the waiter (bald guy), who was also obnoxiously loud, kept telling his tables how busy they were. I'd almost be afraid to go here if it was actually full. Regardless, the food wasn't anything... More
