This is my favorite lunch spot. Homemade soup and quiche everyday. They also have a nice menu for different tastes. Quaint and close quarters. Older property could use some TLC.

quality food -- creative and attractive. friendly and efficient wait staff. And it is so cozy that you feel like part of the family even if you're there for the first or second time (we went back again).

This is the best (and only) place in Bardstown to get healthy, fresh food made from scratch with love by the owner and his uber friendly employees. Food is always excellent, beautifully presented, and the atmosphere is great. I will admit that the coffee drinks are just ok, though the plain coffee is always good.

While visiting Bardstown, we decided to stop for a quick lunch. The Java Joint is quaint with wooden floors, scattered tables, and nostalgia abound. The luncheon specials are not the usual ham, swiss and rye. Condiments like sweet cranberry relish, and a robust honey mustard compliment the selections. I had the Rita, delicious. My husband had the CEO, equally good.... More

Our group of four was seeking a place that had sandwiches or wraps that were just a little bit different from the usual. Java Joint did not disappoint. Our waitress was super-friendly and answered all our questions with a smile. Each of us ordered something different, and all of the sandwiches were very good. We had a table at the... More

The food is really good and unique. We enjoyed the side samples of fruit and veggies and salad that was included with our sandwiches. We loved the flavors. Service is a little slow, maybe a bit disorganized, but the food is worth a little wait.

I stopped in at the Java Joint for lunch for no particular reason other than it attracted me. This town is full of cute eateries to compete with it, but the young lady server was friendly and attentive. I order the cup of soup and half sandwich - taco soup with a greek chicken sandwich and sweet tea. It was... More

Very nice coffee shop within walking distance of all the Bardstown shops. What a welcome place to take a break, have a cup of coffee and a snack.
