The first thing that hits you when you walk into Kreso's is the impressive bar selection. Even more impressive, is the fact that our waiter, Jason, could maintain a mental inventory of such a wide array, particularly of the bourbons, which Bardstown is well-known for. On that note, the service was amazing. He made stellar recommendations and was more than... More

We had a hard time finding this as the sign outside was hard to read. They should display the name with pride as they have a really nice restaurant. The service was wonderful. They have an amazing selection of Bourbon and are happy to help you find the perfect one for you. They also had a full bar, wine and... More

The Kresco family arrived in Bardstown, hosted by the local Episcopal church. After a career as a professional soccer player, the opened a restaurant in their Bosnian home town but were forced to flee during the war 20 years ago…The family continued their tradition of excellent food and now operate their restaurant across from the church that sponsored them here.... This restaurant is in an old movie theater that has been renovated. The food was good....I had the Kreso chicken and my husband had the Kreso pasta. Limited dessert options the night we were there, and no coffee (they had just gotten a new machine and it wasn't hooked up yet). The service was also good.

Went to Kresos based on reviews and was not disappointed. Seated quickly by the fantastic bartender/waitperson. He was fantastic throughout. They have 182 bourbons which is a must in bourbon country. He asked a number of questions in regards to taste preferences and also price, then came up with suggestions, all great. Ordered the jaeger schnitzel. Large portion, great taste.... More

As vegetarians they made up some special meals for us. Good, not great food but we enjoyed the servers. Good location too.

Kreso's is a casual restaurant and bar on the main street in Bardstown, Kentucky close to other shops and restaurants. Average to above average food and as others have said, Jason is the lifeblood of this place. His warm and friendly attitude and enthusiasm for Bourbon make Kreso's your perfect introduction to Kentucky's Bourbon country. + Good food including potato... More

Driving through while doing the Bourbon Trail and needing a place for lunch. Stopped here and so glad we did. It was a cold rainy day and not many people about but the atmosphere in there was great. Jason gave us our menu's and told us the history of the place and the owners. Recommend you visit the web site... More

We were looking for a quick meal but ended spending a fun evening with dinner at the bar. We shared great Goulash and the Jeager Schnitzel but the hit of the evening was the bartender/waiter Jason. From Manhattan recipes to the interesting history of the restuarant and the surrounding area - it was dinner and a show!
