Great place to go!

My daughter and I always wanted to stop in here when we're down in Bardstown but never had the time. We finally had the chance and we really enjoyed it! If you love Bourbon, this is the place to stop at for a drink in their Bourbon Bar! It's a very old place and very cool! We didn't eat in... read more

The Inn is in downtown at the center of Bardstown. You can walk to several restaraunts and bars. They have live music on the weekends. The room that we stayed in has its own bathroom. The room was comfertable but had no coffee maker. They have a covered deck in the front on the second floor so you can sit... More

Spend some time talking to Amy behind the bar. This gal really knows her Bourbons. She was also very helpful pointing out the local haunts. Great environment.

Bourbon is what brought us to Bardsville but it was the food at the Talbott that made the visit worthwhile. The tavern was one of several local eating establishments recommended by the Hampton Inn where we were staying. The tavern is located in an historic inn that dates back to 1700’s and has been welcoming tired, hungry and thirsty travellers... More

We stopped in for a late lunch one day. When in Kentucky, you need to try Hot Brown and their version did not disappoint. It wasn't too crowded so our group of eight got excellent service. Prices here are very reasonable for the food you get. I would absolutely eat here again.

Really disappointed with this one. It has very good recommendations that don't reflect what we experienced. The service was very good, but it didn't make up for the average meal. Too bad, I was looking forward to a outstanding meal.

Stopped at this charming restaurant and bar on our journey across the Bourbon Trail. The food was very good, especially the "Kentucky Hot Brown" that my husband raved about. Our favorite thing about our evening was the Bourbon Bar. We met some of the nicest people who shared stories of the area with us. The bartender Amy was particularly congenial... More

Not much open on Monday but no regrets. Never had burgoo or road kill stew as it can be called. It was wonderful and spicy. Fried chicken was so crunchy and tender and juicy. Large portion too. Salads were also fresh with homemade dressing. Desserts looked good but stuffed. Lots of history and ghost stories. Many famous and infamous people... More

Stepping inside this tavern was like stepping back in history. Our party of five all ordered different menu items and everyone liked what they ordered. Service and food was good.

We were in Bardstown doing the bourbon trail. This inn is very historic and it was cool learning about all the famous people who stayed here. My husband had the chicken wings and bourbon meatballs. The wings were very small, but good. I had the vegetable plate that was very good.
