I guess the building is the draw....

ok, before I get pounded by my less than stellar review,.....It was ok. The building has a lot of history. The food was good, although I thought it was rather pricey. I guess the thing that got me was the service. It was not fast...The hostess was not very friendly. I asked her a few... read more

Many many many bourbon to try. The 5 flight was enjoyed by my husband. Our server was pretty nice. We ordered the beer cheese and pretzels. Not a fan but my husband like it. We also got an order of biscuits which were really good. Worth the stop.

We came to Bardstown for the bourbon tours but a winter storm arrived. Southern hospitality for sure here. The Inn closed but gave us akey to the front door. We are here and hoping for an encounter of the ghostly type. They weren't here to do breakfast so they brought us donuts and juice and upgraded us to the Washington... More

The Southern food on their menu is okay, nothing really outstanding. It's actually a well-known, historic location. It's just not that interesting. They REALLY need to revamp their whole image. Get some Marketing help. Even the gift shop is uninteresting and sparsely stocked.

Perfect lunch spot during our visit to historic Bardstown. Good bourbon selection and there's a Hot Brown on the menu!

The service was average. The food was mediocre. Definitely not worth the $15-20 per entree. After reading other reviews, I specifically ordered something that didn't come with mashed potatoes. Unfortunately, when my food came out, both of my side dishes were wrong. It took so long to get our food and our waitress never came back, so I sucked it... More

Great lunch and good service. We thought the prices were fine for being in a tourist trap location. The local shops were not so great as many were closed and the prices were high. We would not go back to Bardstown, but if you are in the area try the Old Talbott Tavern.

You will walk into a bit of American history when you walk into the Old Talbott - it was built in 1779. That was enough to get me in the door as I am a history buff. But the food and service would bring me back. Tried the Old Kentucky Hot Brown - very good and an excellent price. Staff... More

We stopped in Bardstown on our way home from Lynchburg. It was hard to find somewhere local open for lunch. We had some time so we decided to wait 20 minutes for the bar to open. Let me say the food was fantastic, the beverages nice and cold, but the service was just okay. We were the only two people... More

Me and my wife walked here from our hotel, the place was busy on Saturday night we had to wait so we went to the bar side until they called our table. we had a very nice time trying different bourbons our dinner was really good, fried green tomatoes, and pan fried (cast iron) chicken excellent.
