My husband and I spent New Years eve on the dinner train. Food was good, service was excellent and atmosphere is relaxed. Would go again but do a day trip in spring or fall. Overall fun time!

Rode the train for the New Years Excursion. First course was a pastry with cheese and spinach, good flavor but it was cold. Second course was a salad and I chose Caesar. Lettuce was limp and was swimming in the abundance of dressing. I asked the server to replace it and she did with the dressing on the side. Lettuce... More

Visited My old Kentucky Dinner Train for the lunch excursion on Sat. Dec 28, 2014. It was everything I hoped for when treating my family to something special. The train is beautiful inside as well as the Depot as you are waiting to board. The food was excellent, beautifully served and delicious. The service was also superb, well dressed and... More

My husband and I decided to do the mystery dinner train as a gift to each other! A much enjoyable night!! The food was superb and I highly recommend the prime rib! We wondered how they would do the play, but they made it work. Not much for props and costumes, but you got the jest of it without the... More

We just had our annual department Christmas get together, and the dinner train was our treat. I'm still over full, as I write this, two hours later. I had a very hard time making a selection from the outstanding menu. I finally chose the Lobster Pot Pie. However, I heard comments from others who had the Beef Bourguignon and the... More

We booked a train ride for the lunch and from the time we walked into the depot until we walked off the train almost 3 hours later, was a superb trip and experience. The train ride, while in the winter, was still very scenic---probably would be better when the leaves and vegetation was grown out. The food was OUTSTANDING, a... More

My husband surprised me with dinner on the train to celebrate our anniversary. We got there a little early and my husband got a drink at the bar. I was going to get a drink they had on their list with champagne, until they said that they didn't have any champagne at the bar, only on the train. Duh then,... More

We arrived early enough to try the bar. They serve liberal portions of good liquor and cocktails at fair prices. We boarded on time into two elegant 40's dining cars superbly decked out and reminiscent of when I was a young boy riding the train to Cincinnati. The wine list was comparable to many stationary restaurants. The food was hot,... More

We were given a gift certificate to the Ky. Dinner Train and didn't know what to expect! We had a wonderful time! Our visit was on Oct. 24 and it was the peak time for the fall colors! Just beautiful! It was fun to see the historical sights along the way, although they don't announce when you are approaching any... More
