Fabulous. Beginning to end.

We were celebrating birthdays. We ordered the ticket a couple of weeks ahead. We also chose the menu items ahead. Easy, breezy. The train station is located on the Main Street as you enter town. You can't miss it. So, that was easy too. There's tons of parking. They have 1940's music playing... read more

My wife wanted to ride a train for our fifth wedding anniversary. Our wedding was a Christmas themed wedding so we decided on the Polar Express. It was a great experience! We booked our tickets online about a month in advance. I would definitely recommend doing so because the trains tend to sell out. This allowed us to check in... More

We have heard about the dinner train for years, but never did make the reservations. So glad we were able to experience such an atmospheric dinner with our son and daughter-in-law. We were more than impressed with the food, atmosphere, and customer service. We will definitely return.

This is our second time on this trip and once again it did not disappoint. Both times have been the lunch trip because i feel this is a better value for the money and also because you can enjoy the scenery during the day trip. Last time we had mixed dishes but this time we all decided on the hot... More

What a beautiful dinning experience. If you are looking for something out of the ordinary for a special ocasion this is it. Restored 1940 dinner cars. Excellent service. Delicious food. Beautiful views rich with Ky history. It's pricey but fair for a four course meal and 2 hour train ride.

I went on the train with a large group that paid for my ticket. I had fun but wouldn't pay over $100 for dinner and the "murder mystery." The food was okay. It wasn't great and wasn't $100 good, certainly. The person dining with me had the weirdest prime rib I've seen. It was a large, inch thick piece of... More

Very organized and boarded quickly. Welcome salad already on table. Quickly ordered drinks train started. Train was full but was easy to have conversations. Main salad was delivered with drinks. Staff are very professional and quick. Ordered Prime Rib and should be served on a bigger plate. Not the best grade of beef but Okay. Desert was served and the... More

Dinner was great, more than enough to eat starting with appetizer, followed by salad, entree, and dessert, includes drink. Train was beautiful, linens and china were a plus. The ride was 2 1/2 hours with scenery being mostly forest. Enjoyed sitting with another couple, which you will do if there are only two of you.
