We just had our annual department Christmas get together, and the dinner train was our treat. I'm still over full, as I write this, two hours later. I had a very hard time making a selection from the outstanding menu. I finally chose the Lobster Pot Pie. However, I heard comments from others who had the Beef Bourguignon and the... More

We booked a train ride for the lunch and from the time we walked into the depot until we walked off the train almost 3 hours later, was a superb trip and experience. The train ride, while in the winter, was still very scenic---probably would be better when the leaves and vegetation was grown out. The food was OUTSTANDING, a... More

My husband surprised me with dinner on the train to celebrate our anniversary. We got there a little early and my husband got a drink at the bar. I was going to get a drink they had on their list with champagne, until they said that they didn't have any champagne at the bar, only on the train. Duh then,... More

We arrived early enough to try the bar. They serve liberal portions of good liquor and cocktails at fair prices. We boarded on time into two elegant 40's dining cars superbly decked out and reminiscent of when I was a young boy riding the train to Cincinnati. The wine list was comparable to many stationary restaurants. The food was hot,... More

We were given a gift certificate to the Ky. Dinner Train and didn't know what to expect! We had a wonderful time! Our visit was on Oct. 24 and it was the peak time for the fall colors! Just beautiful! It was fun to see the historical sights along the way, although they don't announce when you are approaching any... More

My family and I just went on the mystery dinner train ride. It was disappointing to say the least. The show is not worth spending the extra 25 dollars. I was expecting the food to be excellent considering the price. I had the pork which was so dry I could hardly swallow it. My potatoes weren't cooked enough and I... More

We were in Kentucky for the Bourbon Festival, and we wanted to try My Old Kentucky Dinner Train because it was something different. We had reservations for an evening dinner, but it was cancelled so we rescheduled for a lunch train ride. The food was very good, as well as the service, and the price was reasonable. The scenery was... More

Wonderful views from the historic dinner train as you slowly explore the country side around Bardstown. We went for a lunch tour. Food was very good and service was very attentive. Fun for a special occassion.

It was my first time being on a train. The service was very good and the food was delicious. Having the 3 comedians on the train was a major plus as well.
