I took my husband on the dinner train for his birthday and the overall experience was amazing. The train ride was very smooth, and while I wouldn't say it was scenic, I did enjoy the view. We were seated with an older couple who made great conversation and we really enjoyed our dining experience with them. The food was good,... More

I was a little concerned about the service and the food after reading the reviews. Our service was phenomenal and so was the food! Thanks to Dottie for exceptional service on the train. My husband got the prime rib dinner and I got the pork. We had trouble choosing so we had decided to order these two and share. That... More

A friend and I were delighted by our decision to purchase tickets for My Old Kentucky Dinner Train this past Saturday night. The train itself is beautiful and reminiscent of days gone by while the food is comparable to any five-star restaurant but the trip we chose to take also included a murder mystery which really made the experience memorable.... Excellent food, excellent service during dinner. Staff very friendly. The train trip would be even better if someone would announce highlights as you pass by. One of our party just happened to see a brochure on the back wall with a description of what we would be seeing. At the least, a brochure should have been placed on each table.... More

Brought my mom for birthday and was expecting pretty scenery. Instead we mainly saw people's yards and a few fields here and there. The food was not impressive....pasta bland. Prime rib fatty and hot brown just sliced turkey lunch meat with white sauce. Desserts were good choo choo train with mousse. Pecan pie and cobbler but none of the food... More

My Old Kentucky Dinner Train truly was a dining experience like no other. We began the evening with a bourbon cocktail at the bar before boarding, the bartender shared hilarious memories of his time spent in the city where I am from. It was a lovely start to the evening just chatting away and laughing. Before boarding we also visited... More

Awesome dinner & drinks, romantic atmosphere! The waitstaff was excellent. Fun views of the distilleries, We had the Potterhouse Porkchop with mashed potatoes, snowpeas, salad & Kentucky Pie for dessert. The price is worth the portions of food & the 2 hour train ride. Large drink menu & reasonable prices.

Took the lunch trip yesterday with my husband's parents. The staff were very nice (our server, Lisa, was great) but it is very expensive for a mostly correctly portioned meal and a few dingy sites. However, a few small things could have made it so much better. 1) Add details to the menu. A open-faced prime rib is really a... More

The Old Kentucky Dinner Train was a quite enjoyable. it was nice to sit back and enjoy the scenery and a wonderful meal. My only complaint would be the service on the train. Our waitress seemed to be irritated by our laughter! We ordered cocktails in the special glass. When we asked if she would clean them for us, she... More
